I just got my hands on the LG connect and I'm having a problem.

the phone won't send texts unless the person I'm trying to texts sends me one first. It will continue to say message not sent.

I can hit retry a million times and nothing helps. I've tried soft power cycling and hard power cycling and nothing has worked.

Any suggestions?

I've had this happened a few times too. Pressing the resend never works don't even bother. The only rhing that worked for me is just to delete the whole message and starting all over. Oh yeah make sure you have your data on when sending mms.

I probably should have mentioned that I'm a fairly novice user what is PSL? and how to I reset it?

Also how do I check that my data is on? Ive tried deleting the whole message and starting over and that doesn't work either

Just dial *228 and option 5 to update your prefered roaming list(PRL). The latest one being 3030.

Okay upated it and its still not working.

Go to settings>wireless & networks>mobile networks>data enabled should be checked.

yup checked..so I guess the next step is to call metro. I ported my number over so maybe something went wrong.
