I highly recommend charging the extended battery with the phone off. Haven't timed it yet to get an exact figure, but I just put the extended battery on my phone to test it out today (it had 30% life brand new), and I used it till it got down to about 15% or so. Then I shut off the phone and charged it for a little over 2 hours...and it's at 63% now after turning it back on. I think the extended battery can probably be charged 100% in 4 - 5 hours with the phone turned off.

i got my Esteem two days ago and LOVE IT.

ordered the Verizon deal today -- i like having the extended battery in my gigbag as an alternate power source. it's too bad that the extended battery will be too big to fit into the nice case i have on the way from my Esteem. but i can always take the case off, and put the extended battery and alternate caseback on when i need to use it that way.

i also have a pair of external lithium battery powered chargers that will each recharge the standard battery one time - so no matter what, i will always have several days worth of juice with me at any given time.

with a tech heavy phone like the Esteem, that extended battery is going to really come in handy!

they're fantastic! lasts all day long with heavy heavy use! but i found one on ebay same size as factory size but 1800 mAH and it's more expensive than the 3900....it's for lg revolution but it fits perfectly in lg esteem with no bigger cover required....

go to ebay type in

mugen 1800 revolution

should be only one battery listing shows up, it's 43.99 and it does extend your phone life by a few hours, but you need to charge it like crazy for a few days first...over 12 hours of charging....gave me 2-4 more hours of use everyday....

well i got my battery from this guy, eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices , and he had another one for $15 OEM but looks like someone bought it already but keep looking everyday. Or you can buy the 3 battery deal, LOT OF 3 NEW Battery for LG Revolution 4G VS910 SBPL0103102 1500mAh | eBay
