So I put music onto my lg esteem and when i play songs with accents like ñ, ó, ect. it shows a diamond with a question mark. how can i fix that?
That's weird , just check mines and it does shows accents and different word. Try clearing cache and data of music from application management at application settings.

they are clear and it still doesnt not work with the accents.
Quick note ; try unmounting and then mounting the sd card from settings > storage . do this first if not ;
Uhm. Yeah okay. Make sure that the title of the song is the same as the .mp3 name with its accents.
Do this, delete the song from the phone and try renaming the "title"(on windows, you name title by going property > details tab [I guess] and then in tittle you name it as supposed.) with its accent. Then transfer it back to your phone and restart the phone.

Every mp3 has space for data in the file that holds the displayed song name and artist and other info. If its in the file that info is displayed... if its not in the file then the file name is used. You can edit some of this info by right clicking the song in Windows, then Properties, then the Details tab.

i do see what you mean, rarely i get them but ido. i guess its some kind of bug or unsupported character that isn't register into your language. get ringtone pro (good app) and edit those songs. ;
