The iPhone generation is dying already. Its not holding onto his name. Overall the galaxy s3 still beats it. And with those same iOS they won't progress much.

Some of the answers here are very biased. The IPhone 5 is an amazing phone. It looks good and works very well. Sure i like the S3 a little better but that is because of the OS more than anything. But other people here saying that the phone is POS are just idiots or haters.

I was only happy about them upping the screen size. iOS users most likely never used an Android, so any features the new iPhone has, they're gonna think its "new".

Found this on TechCrunch:

The opening dialogue of Christopher Nolan’s 2006 film, The Prestige:

Every great magic trick consists of three parts or acts. The first part is called “The Pledge”. The magician shows you something ordinary: a deck of cards, a bird or a man. He shows you this object. Perhaps he asks you to inspect it to see if it is indeed real, unaltered, normal. But of course…it probably isn’t. The second act is called “The Turn”. The magician takes the ordinary something and makes it do something extraordinary. Now you’re looking for the secret… but you won’t find it, because of course you’re not really looking. You don’t really want to know. You want to be fooled. But you wouldn’t clap yet. Because making something disappear isn’t enough; you have to bring it back. That’s why every magic trick has a third act, the hardest part, the part we call “The Prestige”.

Apple’s Magic Is In The Turn, Not The Prestige | TechCrunch

I don't think I would be happy with 5 versions of basically the same phone...

Honestly with Jelly bean I can really say that android 4.1 is far superior than iOS. So apple's flawless iOS is no more hence making apple already undesirable. If iOS users at least take time to understand Jelly bean and how it is capable of doing so much more, apple would die. But I guess their proudness wont let them

Check the specs... they speak for themselves.
The S3 is already outdated, but it still blows the iCrap 5 out of the water - in every way imaginable.

Of course that's just my opinion, but read the specs.

thats e-z the s3 is what good about the s3 lol well since u challenged one of my droid fanatics lol jk lets lay it all on the table.this isnt even about the chassis of the phone what makes the s3 is the os and the components! tell me can u connect an apple phone to your large hdtv? can u swap the battery for a extended battery that will help your phone last longer? can you install a form of recovery on a apple phone and create backs ups? can you expand your phone's memory with a sd card? can you modify the phone the way you want it tweak the ram perhaps over clock the cpu on a apple phone? can u answer yes to atleast one of those questions? if they all answer no then people following a useless fad and they should feel bad about that.

What the Nexus and S3 can do that the iphone cannot do
  • NFC/Android Beam (tap to share)
  • Live Wallpapers
  • Google Wallet
  • Use Custom launchers
  • Use a Custom ROM, Recovery, or kernel!!!
  • Bigger screen, better resolution
and thats just off the top of my head.

I agree that the new iPhone is nothing special, but all this icrap, icult stuff, and saying that it's absolute crap is just plain stupid.
Maybe other people would take android fanatics more seriously if we didn't sound like we were arguing over our favorite superhero at the age of 9.

I don't see how its better than the evo lte. The screen is way better then s3's and the design and hardware seem of better quality. Everything else about the same.

Evolte is really nice too, but s3 does have 2gb of ram and nfc. I'd probably still get an Evolte if choosing between the two

True, the iphone was/is a great piece of technology and we all need to give it some credit as it was the device that kick started it all off.

Is it top dawg anymore??? umm no and still falling down the hill. Does this mean its no longer a viable device?? No still a great device, if you dont mind its drawbacks, like the grade school ui, it being so locked down even after jailbreaking it.

Now the argument with the HTC and Samsung build quality.. well Moto beats both in that dept with HTC coming is 2nd and then LG. Samsungs just have that cheap feel to them, BUT dont let that fool you, the quality is there, but some of us oldschool farts like that solid feel metal gives lol.

Those specs are for the International version, which also happens to be a quad-core Exynos 4 unlike the US variants which all have a dual-core S4. Not that the quad-core version is any faster.

There are adapters that you can hook your iPod/iPad/iPhone to your TV with and I'm sure you can overclock them. The rest is all no though.
