Default lg Esteem software update
I restarted my phone and it said please leave your phone on for software update.2 minutes later it said fota error and to go to a metro pcs store.I that's a first for me anybody know anything about this?

I noticed my sw version is now zve..not zvd

I got the same thing, Have a custom rom on so not surprised that FOTA did not go through.

what about android version any different?

They may have made a change in the radio software, for the tmo merger maybe it will pick up tmo lte as well as metro

2.3.4 is what mine is I would guess same as yours.
I am tempted to take this back to stock just to test it out. I tried the lg update tool as it is but it says its up to date.

Yea mine also did the same thing...I woke up and a lil square box update success it also changed to ZVE i had the ZVD so idk what happened

Just sold mine and activated it for the lady who bought it from me. I had unrooted/returned it to stock so the update went through after activation to ZVE.
PRL remained 3032 as before..dont see what is different with this version

Was driving home from work today, plugged in the charger before I started moving, when I got off the freeway I checked my phone & it was restarting,, I was kinda like "wtff!?" & afterwards I noticed it said "software update to ZVE complete" (or successful, I forget which exactly),, I don't see what's new about it,, all my apps were there, prl, the settings, & icons were the same as always. Anyways, side from Facebook seeming slower, all is well.

So I'm not the only one.mine didn't go through I do have custom rom.I'm definitly not going to the store.so I guess I can just do it through lg?
