you should not be paying more than 230 for the LG pad even in the UK. Looking at the conversion rate, it's about $400 which is jokes cos back in the states I paid about $300, which is about 185.

It's always the same unfortunately, we always pay more for stuff like that.

Amazon have it for 260 so 229 is a "good" price.

I bought mine Wednesday from Asda Direct 229 with voucher impressed with build and is quicker that my tab 2 screen does seem slightly dimmer will update in 2 days
I wanted this as my tab 2 is to big to carry and seems slow a

" It does seem funny that all Asda Direct boxes are unsealed "

Update !
A bit disappointed with the screen display while playing movies in any room light it is to dark to see it ok having a HD screen with more pixels but if means you are unable to watch movies what's the point

Still have 2 days to think about trying to return it if not it may be e-bay

It a pity as apart from brightness its a great piece of kit
Pity I did not see this from a review

"At 273 lux, the G Pad's screen is far dimmer than the tablet category average of 359 lux and well off the iPad mini's mark of 432 lux. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch offered a higher rating of 477 lux,
