Default LG G3 Accessories Thread

Okay, so now that the phone is announced and everyone is waiting on actual availability date and pricing for their respective carriers, I figured there's no reason to stop us from posting up accessories that have been found, especially for those that are all in on purchasing the device.

Amazon already has a ton of accessory offerings:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_n_4?rh=n%3A2335752011%2Cn%3A2407755011%2 Ck%3Alg+g3&keywords=lg+g3&ie=UTF8&qid=1401822931&r nid=2335753011

Ebay has some as well.

For those looking to upgrade their MicroSD, Amazon has a deal on the 64gb EVO microSD $35.24
Amazon.com: Samsung Electronics 64GB EVO Micro SDXC with Adapter Upto 48MB/s Class 10 Memory Card (MB-MP64DA/AM): Computers & Accessories

For those interested in Wireless charging, there are some great deals going on for Qi charging pads:

Incipio Qi Wireless Charging pad $18 (Today only):
DailySteals

The Ice Monkey portion of Daily Steals also has the LG Qi charging pad for $20
https://www.dailysteals.com/icemonkey/#d/22512

Qi Wireless Charging Car Dock
Qi Wireless Car Charger Pad Charging Transmitter Samsung S3 S4 NOTE2 3 Receiver | eBay

Retail for that was $49.99, when it was first released, just for frame of reference.

And, for those of you that are hoping to pick up the wireless charging stand that was shown with the G3, look up the LG WCD-800. That was the first charging stand that LG released, but was way overpriced (and is still overpriced on ebay). Retail was 119.99, if memory serves me correctly. You can pick one up for $89 on ebay, but still too expensive IMO, for what it is.

I had posted a deal with the TYLT Vu, which IMO looks aesthetically better, and it serves the same purpose.

And for those of you that had been holding off on having a "portable backup charger," this one might be the one to consider:

http://www.amazon.com/10000mAh-Wireless-Charging-Portable-Packaging/dp/B00J409JCM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1401831227&sr=8-3&keywords=portable+qi+wireless+charger

I purchased one for $49.99, after getting my Note 3, which I felt was a bargain at that time, so the price on this one is even better. Same 10kmah capacity, but what's awesome is that I use this at my office. When I need to go to a long meeting, I just unplug this thing and bring it with me to charge my tablet up, if needed.

Default BLACK TPU Cases

Just got one of my cases in yesterday.
Of course, nothing to report on fit, but, just wanted to pass along a BTW:

If you order this one, from e-Bay:

Black Full TPU Rubber Skin Cover Soft Gel Gummy Case for LG G3 | eBay

It actually looks like this:

Black TPU Protector Gel Case for Verizon LG Optimus G3 VS985 | eBay

No biggie,as the 1st example is from an early rendering which obviously didn't pan out, but,I thought the color was a dark shade of black & turned out to be more of a charcoal/matte black.

Again,no biggie.

This one is on the way,ETA 6/12/14:

Amazon.com: [Free HD Film-Better Grip] Ringke SLIM LG G3 Case [SF BLACK] Full Top and Bottom Coverage for an All Around Protection SUPER SLIM + SF COATED + PERFECT FIT Premium Hard Case Cover for LG G3 [ECO Package]: Cell Phones & Accessories

that's what I've got as a temporary solution before I decide on Quick Circle or similar case:

Amazon.com: HRWIRELESS(TM) For LG G3 Cover Case (TPU Clear): Cell Phones & Accessories

Obviously I am not paying $100 for the Quick Circle, lol.

Yeah,I believe it's for the G3.
I saw that ISAI & thought it sounded familiar, didn't bother to GOOGLE it until now.

Forgot the ISAI was a Japan exclusive.Anyhoo, the cutouts match what the G3 has.

At 1st,I thought ISAI was a Japanese carrier & dismissed the pic as a render.
Normally,I wouldn't have ordered it,but,it was one of the few that was actually available now & took my chances on it being the correct one.

Now,if I could just be fortunate enough to win a Beta G3 from T-Mobile...........

Default Spare battery LG G3( maybe )

Caseology 3000 mAh Battery and LED USB Wall Charger for LG G3 2014 | eBay

Not sure if this is OEM or not. The design guy at LG said that the OEM battery has a "slight" curve. Be careful if it is not OEM. OEM battery also has graphite in cathode. Delivery middle of July.

I ain't buyin' nuthin' until I see the whites of the G3's eyes. Then I might pull the trigger for purchase.

Besides wanting a 3/32, my sticking point is the darn soft buttons. Nice display tainted by soft buttons and turns the 5.5" display effectively into a 5.1". I need to see how a G2 perform with emulators to see if the buttons are an issue. Ditto as far how many apps have an issue with the hide option. Simply put, 5.5" should be 5.5" rather than 5.1"

Appreciated I am the picky minority with this view. Catch is the S5 is only 16GB and locked down with VZW, so no other options now as far as 'Goople' phones.

Anyone run across a simple canvas holster that might hold a G3 in a Spigen AirCushion Sim Armor case?
I've been using a Reiko vertical holster for my current RAZR MAXX with an Otterbox Commuter.

WELCOME TO ANDROID FORUMS markfm!

I've got one of these:

Cellet Products - Teramo

Amazon.com: Cellet Black Teramo Premium Leather Case w/ Removable Clip for Samsung Note 2, Note 3: Cell Phones & Accessories

Believe I got it from e-Bay.The one I have will fit perfectly for the G3.I have a TPU case for the G3 that fits snug, just right for ease of removal.

You will want to contact CELLET for one that'll fit,as I'm not able to find it again/available on e-Bay or AMAZON.

EDIT:

This should work:

Amazon.com: LG Optimus G Pro Genuine Black Leather Case Pouch With Magnetic Closure And Removable Spring Clip Vertical Teramo Style: Everything Else

CellShopper - Cell Phone Accessories

As the description notes, there's elastic fabric on the sides that allow for devices that may be a bit snug, but,it should work, based on the dimensions given vs the G3 dimensions.

They definitely look different:

Official LG WCD-100 Qi Wireless Charger :: MobileFun.com

However, one nice apparent feature of the new model is that it has a USB socket vs a proprietary power cord.
Looks like the new model is lacking any annoying/glowing indicator lights as well.

I'm guessing the MSRP (outside of MobileFun) will be in the $60-$75 range, based on MobileFun's usual over-inflated pricing.

The WCD-800 charged at 1000mAh. My Samsung wireless charger does 850mAh. With the compact size of the WCD-100 I wonder what rate it charges at. Can't find the specs. I kind of like the lights on the WCD-800 telling me what is happening.

The lights on the WCD-800 no doubt are a bit easier on the insomniac than this model:

Amazon.com: Jumbl Qi Wireless Charging Pad Kit and Phone Stand - Portable and Foldable Wireless Charger that Also Serve as a Phone Stand - Includes Qi-Enabled Transmitter and Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 Receiving Tag: Cell Phones & Accessories

This one is equivalent to a neon-lit beer sign flashing while in-use.
While it's functional in the horizontal,I had less-than-stellar results w/it staying in the inclined position, especially w/phones approaching the G3 size.Throw a case on it & forget about it staying in place, unless in the horizontal position.

Even then,I'd recommend a pass on this one,the "sweet spot" for charging is small, definitely a bummer for a larger phone.

Not everyone needs the faster transfer speed, but some prefer that. Transfer speed is the main reason people pick that up over the other.

I guess I'll just lay mine flat for $19 and call it a day. Those stand prices are insane.

Yeah, I had the same thought until I started using wireless charging more often. At home, I prefer an angled charger, where I can partially see the phone. At work, I don't mind the flat charger.

Now, another suggestion I have is creating a "make shift" wireless charging stand. It could easily be accomplished using one of those flat wireless charging stands and a cheap stand. All that would be needed is a stand that has a thick enough base to hold the phone propped up, with the wireless charger glued to the stand (needs to be strategically placed, in order to work right).

I've been thinking of doing a DIY, just to create my own "stands."

Good idea.

If not for the money, considering the time spent, then for fun.

Don't forget about the G-Watch, which is apparently going to release on July 1 (UK) along with the G3

Nothing announced yet,not even on e-Bay,where even the "pre-release" items usually show up, before they actually exist.

As for recommendations based on G2 ownership, any such would be an empty gesture,as the G2 has a sealed/non-removable battery.

They'll pop up soon enough,I'd stick w/the usual brands that are available for flagship devices as the G3.

Default Portable Charger

Just ordered this external battery charger/stand from DailySteals:

https://www.dailysteals.com/heist/#deals/25838

Not anticipating a need for this so much for the G3,but,I do forget to charge up my Bluetooth devices occasionally.
This price even beats the 25% off accessory sale from T-Mobile.
At $12 (no tax & free shipping),it's a can't-miss.

I'll be so happy if the G Watch is under $200. That'll be a definite win for me.

Circle case for $63.89 w/ free shipping. And $165.39 w/ the wireless charging stand, which also lines up with the $99+tax price range I was expecting the stand to cost.

Genuine LG G3 Quick Circle Cellphone Cover Smartphone Case for F400 5 Colors | eBay

Lines up with the price I'm expecting the case to be, including tax, but not likely going to be swooping one up, in preference of obtaining the OEM wireless charging cover w/o circle view.

-EDIT-
Found a top seller that's .49 cheaper...

-EDIT 2-
Doh, KOLIO pointed out to me that the charger they display is the WCD-800, so the bundle pricing isn't worth it, considering the WCD-100 can be had for $83 on Mobile Fun. Quick Circle case is still somewhat valid though, for those itching to buy accessories ahead of time.

I'm really not sure if the placement of the qi charging would work, but could be another qi charging stand option that would be pretty awesome:

Qi Wireless Charging Dock for Google Nexus 7 2013 :: MobileFun.com

Even though it's designed for the Nexus 7 tablet, I'd imagine that if the placement of the qi charging is in the right place, it could work for a phone too.

I think LG will release Quick Circle case in the US for $49.99 or under.

I am sold on the gold color being present. Eat your heart out, Sprint

Hoping that by US release, it ends up being the projected $250, otherwise I'll just hold out for a while.

That price is a definite win and if the price of the 360 is too expensive, people may lean towards LG. I just wish it looked as sexy as the 360 though. I'm hoping for that $250 price point.

I kind of knew that 45MB/s is faster than 30MB/s.

My question is why do I need 45MB/s in my phone?

It is a phone, not the damn DSLR, where every millisecond counts.

don't see why it wouldn't work w/G3.
