Default enabling/disabling 'unknown sources'

Im trying to find the option to disable 'unknown sources'. I was told it was found in Menu > settings > applications, but I cannot find it anywhere on this Lucid. Someone told me I may need to check to see if its enabled because I coudl get malware or spyware easily if it is. Please let me know where to go to find this setting.

For me, it's in Settings > Security. I've not got the lucid, but on two of my devices that's where the setting is.

Does that help?

For Gingerbread it is under Applications, but on Ice Cream Sandwich it is under Security.
