I don't know why but my 2 optimus s and wife's iPhone all have better 3g speeds...
Where are you and what is your service area. I'm in NYC my 3g speeds are acceptable, not great/ not bad,but it consistent at least.
Sprint has the slowest 3g speeds of the big four carriers. I think it is because they let everyone and anyone piggyback off their network to run mvno's. Boost and virgin are the major ones but there is also some third party companies running mvno's off f sprints 3g network. I think that has a lot to do with the bogged downed speeds.

doesn't matter anywhere especially at our house granted they all have horrible connections both voice and data but the marquee is the worse for it. I have confirmed with multiple speed tests

Sorry to hear about that. Maybe a fresh scoop of ice cream might make your phone happy? :-)
Went from Sprint to boost... Since I live in low coverage area the ability to roam with sprint made all the difference... Plus 3g speeds on sprint blew boost away

The numbers that Bloodawn posted pretty much says it all.
Not to be a wet blanket, wetbiker, but the numbers Bloodawn posted are only a reflection of those that have downloaded his rom, not the community in general.
But I agree with your overall assessment; I'm just being picky this morning.
Here's to hoping their upgrade goes well and I can stay with Sprint. The tower near me is ''scheduled to be worked on in the next 6 months''. Right now, the 3G speeds are horrible here, I'm lucky if Gtalk stays connected anymore.

Wet blanket, Wetbiker.... that 1 made me laugh.
Yeah, the download count is in no way near an accurate count for the entire community because quite a few aren't running CTMod (poor souls). The difference between the two does say a lot as far as who is using what carrier though. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that the amount of people not running CTMod is minimal.
Same boat here. The Marquee is the last $40/mo SERO-P smartphone. Phones released after the Marquee require the $50/mo plan. Being the cheap-ass I am, I'm going to try and stick w/ the Marquee until Sprint brings LTE into my town (aka when hell freezes over).

Actually I have it flashed to MetroPCS. Why? Most Metro PCS phone suck and while this phone isn't a Galaxy S phone, it holds it's own with features and capabilities.

LOL, I have a feeling it will be a very long time before 4G reaches my hometown too. Thank goodness for WiFi.
The LG Marquee is Sprint's version of the LG Optimus Black. It's a sleek and thin phone and Sprint's angling it toward those who make their purchase decisions based on fashion. Even with that, it's still quite a capable phone with a... Read More
