i work for metro and the sales for the motion is crazy. metro needs to change the price online back to 149.99 because people cant read the whole thing and see they have to buy two to get a $50 rebate. its a really go phone, i just bought two, one for me and one for my gf. Ive heard some things about this phone getting jellybean and it also depends on LG not just metro.

Nice BRO I really doubt that metro will release jellybean for this phone, even if they don't its a pretty good phone for that price I should be getting one

they did change how they worded the rebate to try to make it even more clear to people but i have a feeling people will still just look at the price and nothing else.
i have a feeling this board will be flooded with people complaining about not getting the rebate in a couple months when they werent due to get one in the first place.

I think the wording is slimy business practices from Metro.. Consumer fraud type stuff because it is intended to fool people.

I don't own a motion, nor have I ever owned an LG device, but even I can tell that's fake/dangerous. I wouldn't recommend anyone try that on their device.

I think the link should be removed from thread so no one tries to follow the steps and then bricks....some people don't read anything at all and click on whatever links they find...

I thi.k the lg motion will deffenetly get i
Jellybean since lg is going to update all its 2012 device tht is capable of running jellybean and the motion deffenetly can run jellybean
It will get jellybean the same day metro sends out the rebate card to everyone that bought 1 motion.
It's been three months since I sent out the rebate form and I still haven't got my $50.00 rebate visa I think the email I got said I should get my rebate by the end of 2013

Thing is, LG only updates for fixes unless the carrier pays em for a upgrade. I have yet to see Metro upgrade anything other than the Huawei Ascend from 2.1 to 2.2 and that was after they released a special edition that had 2.2.
I don't know about that, I wouldn't hold my breath.
My wife has the lg motion, hers will also be blocked from any upgrades. The phone is fast, it works, suits all of her needs.
My advice to anyone is hold off on any major upgrades and let the chips fall. Meaning, let others do the upgrade and keep an eye on the web and the forums for complaints.

I read the offer on the Metro site and the rebate form. Did not see anything about having to by 2 phones. What did I miss or not see?

OK so i downloaded and read the WHOLE thing it plainly says
**"Offer valid for (1) Visa prepaid card per Eligible Phone purchase with activation"**
**"Visa prepaid card offer good only on the following MetroPCS phones
and accessories purchased between January 10th, 2013 - March 3rd, 2013: LG Motion 4G, Samsung GALAXY Admire 4G. The foregoing MetroPCS phone and accessories collectively are “Eligible Phones” and each is an “Eligible Phone.”**
So there's the plain truth NO you don't have to buy 2 phones to get one $50 rebate. you get one rebate per Eligible Phone up to 5 phones. I have attached the rebate form to this post in case you want to read it for yourself. Follow the form to the letter, certify all mail, make copy's and you should get your rebate. I have received rebates from Metro before.

He was talking about the original rebate so he was right. Yellow are talking about two different things.
I upgraded from ICS to JB on my ASUS TF700T tablet.
Can't say that I notice much difference. HAd to jump thru hoops to retain root, but I did. Maybe just a little bit smoother video playback... maybe. Maybe just a little bit smoother, more responsive web browser... maybe.
The LG Motion 4G is another mid-tier device, this time headed straight to Metro PCS customers. It may not be a superphone you have beend reaming of, but it will do great considering its $150 price-point.
It's 1.2 GHz dual-core processor... Read More
