Has anyone tried to retrieve their MSL/SPC codes from whiterabbit and use QPST?? Or used CDMA workshop to retrieve the SPC code? You may be able to change Mobile IP to Simple IP in the M.IP tab of QPST. Once you do that, you can tether anything. That's how you do it on the Optimus M....as well as the Samsung Admire.

I'm having troubles trying QPST recognizing the phone. I've done this with no luck "Plug your phone in and let it stay on AS, fire up DM on the phone(##diag#) and wait for the drivers to install by windows or download them if you need, open device manager in windows and find your phone usually under com or serial ports listed as qc diag port or something and find what port it's listed on, fire up QPST"

USB tether and hotspot work but are slow and only allow google, facebook and a few other sites. There has to be a way to fix this?

Okay so I finally connected to QPST, (I plug it in, dial ##626* for DM
then put, 587846 and selected NAM programming. Launch QPST. added the port)
Now how do I change mobile ip to simple ip? Is it in the IP server tab? I already have my MSL. Thanks in advance.

Ok changed the user agent on my pc to this

Now when I go to many websites on the pc they go to mobile sites instead of full. Any way to change this?

Should be the same as I posted for the usb just use wifi tether or hotspot instead. The browsers user agent is what is stopping you.

Some sites will have an option you can click to get the desktop version. For those that don't, you're SOL.

So when I first got my phone I could not activate the built in hot spot. Which made sense since I do not have the hotspot feature on my plan. Yet I downloaded the wifi tether from the playstore and ran it once, it installed the config files and binary. Now I can use the built-in hotspot and it's working fine; I have only used it with another Android.
I'll try using it with my laptop later and post here how it went.

Did you use the program WiFi Tether for Root Users by Muller Lemons, Buxton. (black background with yellow wifi icon)? or one of the other similarly named programs?

that's the one. In my experience, with the Indulge, I found that one to be the best.

Also I tried using the hotspot with my laptop and i can only get sites like youtube and google to load. I'm trying to change the settings to simple ip in QPST but i'm having a hard time getting my phone to show up on a port when I use metropcs's hidden menu to edit NAM
When I just left it in usb tethering it does show, but the M. IP tab doesn't appear.

I added the port with QPST but im lost after that PDA Net seems to work and load pages that didnt load up before but it is very slow, Facebook loads fast though

Why pay for the tether!!! Download FoxFi tether w/o root. It works like a charm for me I let my brother use it all the time and I still only pay $55 a month. Ill post a tutorial on youtube to show yall.

Thx but it doesnt,eprk for me. Tried ebery iteration of open/pw wpa on foxfi and hotspot, along with starting dif one first. Restarts etc.
They seem to toggle each other off and i dont get anything dif than,before. Limiyed access no internet

In my experience the easiest way is to use a user agent switcher. Connect your phone to pc as a tether, then in google Chrome download uaswitcher

Edit: I got wireless with a uaswitcher working by changing the the ssn in the wireless hotspot default program, but not with the normal useragent which i need.

*Problem Solved* Everybody who is trying to use the hotspot and having problems with only being able to load a few pages...change your user agent string to this (without the quotes) "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/534.24(KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/11.0.696.34 Safari/534.24" ...and this will also allow the webpages to load in full DESKTOP view..

works good with barnacle tether , but wifi says "out of area of 4g" when i hotpsot .

Yea this 4g mobile hotspot app only works when you have a 4g signal. If it's fading out to 1x you will lose your hotspot. Now If you got 4g service but it is telling you that your out of range, I don't know how to fix that just yet.. I've only noticed mine saying that when my 4g signal was lost and the phone was toggled to 1x.

I actually got foxfi to work you just need to set up a pass key for the. Wpa settings but i still cant load any web pages
