Default What does everybody think of the screen?

Hi I'm probably leaving Verizon on the 19 and will be picking up one of these bad boys. I currently have a droid bionic with a sub par pentile screen. What I'd like to know is are the pixels visible on the motion and how is the color reproduction? Thanks

your best bet would be to go and take a look at it in store.

Better than the LG Opitmus-M and Samsung Admire by far. Very clear, contrasty, bright... brighter than those others by a good deal. The Admire was better than the Optimus-M by a decent amount. The Motion better than the Admire by double that amount. Pixelization (jaggies)... very very low degree. Mostly noticeable around the edges of perfectly circular moving objects... but you have to look very hard to see the effect.

^ Yep. Definitely better then the Admire on the screen quality. Not sure why since they appear to have a similar screen resolution and all, but I guess there is a quality difference.

I'd say it is pretty close to my old Epic with an AMOLED screen. The color isn't as good, but I don't notice a big difference in image quality. Side by side I can see there is a difference but not enough to complain about (and I'm sure someone who didn't know there was a difference may not even notice). When I compared my fiancee's Admire next to the Epic it was painfully obvious there was a difference.

Coming from the LG connect you can notice pixels. The screen is what made me miss my connect because you can notice some pixels on the motion but you'll Getty used top it in no time because the performance is what makes up for it (; Video quality is pretty good and graphics are pretty nice

Couldn't resist and had to upgrade from my admire, screen is nice considering i've never had a phone with better pixel density. But I love this little thing performance is great I can live with a lower resolution

I know it's been said before but the smaller screen, while you might think is a big deal, really isn't after you have had the phone for a bit. The speed makes up for it. I have a friend that just got this huge phone that won't fit in his pocket. He's bragging about the screen size vs. mine tho. (Go figure.) I have to chuckle when he has it in his hand all the time so he won't forget it.

The Motion fits nicely in my hand and very comfortable in any pocket. I've even fabricated a bracket that the Motion fits nicely in for the bike to use it as a GPS for those long anticipated trips this fall. :-)

Technology is only going to get better with these phones. I look at it as having more battery life because it has less screen size to light/drive.

And for the price???

If I could just figure out my voice mail icon. LOL

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm probably going to pick one up the 19 when i cancel my Verizon service. I'm probably going to check one out in the store first and let you know what i think. Also because of the lower resolution should this phone out perform the galaxy s3 by a large margin in games?

I doubt it. At least not by a large margin. There may be a slight boost in speed in some situations, but at the performance both phones are putting out a slight boost isn't really noticeable outside of benchmark scores.

My nokia 110 and its 1 inch black and white screen sucked. But my motion has color screen. I know 3.5 inches aint much for a guy but it rocks for a phone. Coolest thing about my screen is that I touched it and it brought me to some news site with some black guy in charge of everything. Holly sh... when did that happen?

I'm thinking of switching from the connect to the motion and need to know if the screen on the motion is as bright as the connect?? I work outside in the bright Florida sun.

until the S3 hits stores the LG motion is the best phone metro has by a long way. other than a smaller screen its better than anything metro has in everything else.

you know a phone is badass when you dont have to root it for it to be badass. you could, but it would be overkill haha.

this phone really DOES charge up in a little over an hour.

I wouldn't say its beautiful lol. The screen is kinda dim and weird looking. I would prefer the evos screen. Beats the s3's.

I like the motion's screen but it is on the small side. I am also coming from a Admire so I guess any screen is a upgrade.

The LG Motion 4G is another mid-tier device, this time headed straight to Metro PCS customers. It may not be a superphone you have beend reaming of, but it will do great considering its $150 price-point.  It's 1.2 GHz dual-core processor... Read More
