I have to ask Motion users -- Are you interested in the LG Spirit? I mean really speaking you'r spending 250 bucks -50 mail in rebate (unless you wirefly I bet its 200) for 1" of extra screen estate...is it worth it. Personally, I'm not sure. If it had Jellybean I'd be on it for sure, but all I get for the money is an extra inch? That's why I'm asking fellow motioners if the the spirit has perked your interests....

I'm satisfied with a 3.5" screen, my Optimus M had 3.2" (I believe) so I get an extra 0.3" for $50

As we type I am using my Motion And my 4.3" DroidX (til 3/6)
Don't kid yourself, the missing 3/4" Is Substantial. (IMO)
Were they not coming out with the Spirit, I'd make do with the Motion though I DO view the 3.5" screen as a serious negative. Probably the Only One the phone has.
The latest anticipated price for the Spirit was about $50 more than I'd heard it might be. Again, that approximate $50 difference on a $200ish phone is Substantial to me.
As a result, I'll probably wait til it hits Wirefly or someplace else I can get it closer for to $200.

Re: Motion to Spirit
I went from the optimus (3.2) to the esteem (4.3) and once you go bigger you can't go back. I want te motion but I'm not going to sacrifice the real estate. IMO the spirit is worth it
Just like I did with my motion I'm not going to buy the Spirit immediately I'm going to wait and let my fellow forum users be my unwitting guinea pigs so I will know exactly what I'm getting into muahaha.

Yeah !
Let the power users sort it out ( I'm not ) first.
I did that when I was thinking about my fist Android and decided not to get a Connect.
Connect has overheating/ battery problems etc.( good for hand warmer in Winter )
Samsung is rumored to be releasing the S-4 in April, so I'm hoping for deep discounts on the S-3
Wirefly dot com had them for $300.00 a while back during a pre-Christmas sale, so if that price should return I will likely buy an S-3 even though I would love an LG Spirit, but IMO, they are a bit overpriced in comparison to the current price of the LG Motion which is $50.00 after Mail-in Rebate and it is basically the same phone but the Spirit has a larger screen with better screen resolution, USB port on the bottom of the phone and a few other enhancements.
They are still a bargain, but if I'm going to pay About $240.00 after tax and activation even after MIR, I might as well spend another $75.00 or so for the S-3, assuming that $300.00 price returns in a couple of months or so.
In other words, I'm dying to buy the LG Spirit but I'm going to wait a bit and see what happens with pricing and to see if an S-3 becomes affordable.

Great post PHP.
Can't say I disagree at all.
Look at the price gyrations on the S3 and how soon they happened. Then the mega sale on the Motion right as the major plan changes happened.
The sale runs to 3/3. IMO, the smartest thing to do is wait til then. If you are THAT flush with cash, get the S3 NOW.
Somethings gotta shake aloose then. Even if they bring the Motion back up to $100, and the Avid stays at $150, the pricing disparity PHP mentions still exist with the Spirit to S3.
1 thing that I would like to know is if I switch phones with the apse that I have purchased via Google play be lost? E.g., SwiftKey, Player Pro.?
Also how would I go about saving all of the songs I have downloaded to my phone? I have kind of done this in an unconventional way. I've downloaded the songs from YouTube via the url-to-mp3 website.

Im getting the spirit first day just to get that first hand with it, i really want to see if it is the lg motion with only some more real estate or if it will be the motion is was looking for. :3
@Rox; regardless of how the file is saved, just move it over to your memory card. Unless you somehow for some reason saved it to /system.
Any apps bought or downloaded on G play store are static and will not leave your history unless you delete it. Paid and bought apps are also static, unless you got an app refunded, the apps are your's to keep and do with as you please. :3 just dont modify and repackage for sale, thats mostly illegal.
The LG Motion 4G is another mid-tier device, this time headed straight to Metro PCS customers. It may not be a superphone you have beend reaming of, but it will do great considering its $150 price-point.
It's 1.2 GHz dual-core processor... Read More
