Default does LG optimus 3D have good gps that don't need internet to run?

i have try install papago x5 but cannot detect signal..anyone can help??

Turning on the GPS function does not require internet connectivity. It sends and receives to satellites in orbit. Are you outdoors when trying to use this feature? Some building will shield the signal.
