Well at my work the powers that be decided after initially saying we could choose our own phones, that we were all to be issued with this phone. I was a little disappointed as I had already picked myself an HTC One S to compliment my One X but after seeing the contract price on the LG I can see why they've picked it.
£15.50 LG Optimus 4X HD
£26.00 HTC One S (same network and allowance as above)
After spending a couple of days with the phone and comparing it to my recently repaired One X I am amazed this phone is so cheap... apart from the slightly different UI, 16gb storage and android 4.0.3 (Sense, 32gb and 4.0.4 on One X) the phone is almost identical to the One X in terms of hardware and specs.
The phone looks very smart, the little chrome bands around it make it feel more premium than it is and certainly more than a Galaxy S3. Screen is beautiful and the phone is almost as fast as a One X... which if you have an international version is pretty much as fast as it gets.
I quite like the LG UI, it's pretty understated and apart from the very nice weather widget you wouldn't really know it was skinned at all. When did LG start making decent phones again?
Battery is replaceable but even out of the box seems decent enough to get through a full day, once it settles I'm sure it will give a bit more.
One thing I don't like is it uses the big sim cards so I had to get an adaptor from T-Mobile shop, not a huge deal but when most use micro sims now why go back. The headphones are pretty poor too but this seems standard now with phones.
I understand this phone is never going to be a big seller and I wouldn't of looked twice at it if it wasn't for the fact I've got it for free but you get a hell of a lot of phone for your money. It isn't as good as my One X or an S3 but it isn't far behind and at almost half the price if it was marketed right it could do well in the budget category.
I'm not much of a reviewer I know but it's an android phone on ICS, not massively different to any others

If there is anything anybody wants to know about it just ask.
