LG PC SUITE APP on phone?

Hi I was trying to update my Optimus black to gingerbread
i downloaded the PC suite on my computer and it says u need to turn on the pc suite app on the fone, but i cant find any "pc suite app" on my fone?
how do i get the app on my fone?
