Default Ford SNYC Vehicle Health Report Not Working With LG Optimus C

I have a new phone, a LG Optimus C from Cricket. I had no problems pairing to my 2009 Foucs’ SYNC, nor any problems downloading the phonebook. The phone and SYNC work when making and receiving calls. However, the Vehicle Health function is not working. When I run it, the SYNC system runs the report and tries to send it, but fails on the sending. I see on the face of the phone that it is dialing an 888 toll free number. I can hear the computer like sounds, sort of like modem sounds. Then the SYNC system reports a failure to send. I have contacted SYNC support by chat and talked to a tech rep by voice. No suggestions aside from removing the phone’s battery for over a minute and a master reset of SYNC…no luck. My carrier Cricket is of no help and no response from LG when I talked to their tech people.
My previous phone, a Samsung Alias from Verizon, had no such problems with the Vehicle Health function.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? My Optimus is running Android 2.2.2 and my SYNC system is V2.1.
