Cool How do I undo the Direct Dial option

I just bought the LG Optimus Elite cell phone. It's my first smart phone so I'm not very savvy when it comes to working it. I added a contact to the Direct Dial which places the contact on my home page. Is there any way to delete it?

Press and hold on the icon you want to delete. Hold it for a few seconds and you will see a trash can appear at bottom of the screen. While continuing to hold it drag it down to the trash can and release it on top of the trash can

If you're using Holo Launcher, you hold on it and a menu will pop up and you choose "Remove".
