Default Does LG Optimus Elite VM (prepaid, no contract) work outside of US?

Does it work with another SIM card outside of US? how about 3G network?

Virgin Mobile USA runs on Sprint's CDMA network which means that there are no sim cards in the phone. All of the user and carrier information is stored on internal nvram. It's extremely time consuming, legally shaky and expensive because to use the device on another CDMA carrier requires a donor phone from that network to get the settings required to flash your phone to the new network. Also a lot of carriers will only allow their own phones onto their respective network, Virgin being one of them.
