Default Not Receiving Text Messages while Tethering?

Hey everyone! This isn't really a major problem but have any of you had any problems with receiving text messages while tethering? Usually I'll receive a bunch of text messages all at once sometime after I turn the hotspot off. Have you had any similar experiences?

If your using data you can't call or recieve texts. Normally, while your using data on your phone it will cut data while it recieves a call or text, but the tethering app your using may override that feature to give you a more stable data connection (I'm guesing). I would try a different app, or look into the apps to see if one will work for you. I don't tether and haven't researched them, so I can't give any recommendations.

try klink tether. it uses the debugging tools instead of root, only downside is its specifically USB tethering. I haven't seen any of those issues, however.
