Default Switched to OE and now short number texting doesn't work.

But it did on my OV. This is frustrating because I use 41411 to text the Chicago cta for bus and L times. Any ideas on what the deal is?

might have something to do with how they just updated their system and now you have to enter full numbers including area codes for texting. I'm not sure how that works with short numbers like the one you are trying to use. before apparently you only had to enter 7 digits now it requires 10.

I asked about this on the VM fb page and they asked what error message I was getting. I am not getting anything. This is kind of becoming a pain. Guess I took for granted how dependent I was on texting the CTA!

I have Transit Tracker installed. It's not a bad app, but it can be slow (even on wifi) and inaccurate at times. I'm gonna check out Anystop though and see how that is. Still, nothing beats the simplicity of sending a text and bam, a few seconds later the info appears.

VM mobile say it's their system wide upgrade and offer no time frame as to when it'll resolve, but they are aware and woking on it. At least they acknowledged it finally and a few other people chimed in on my (second) thread n VM's fb page.
