Default Troubleshooting

Whats not working:
You tell me, wipe data and test your issue before reporting your problem to me.

How to Overclock your Optimus F7

Open the Voltage app and slide the toogle all the way to the right to OC to 1.7ghz. you can also mess around with what governors you want and how it will affect or phone in performance/battery.. *Google it*

How to Update via OTA

When you get the OTA notification go ahead and have it download the update. Once its done the app will ask you if you want to reboot and install it. DO NOT allow it to reboot your phone into cwm cause as we all know, it will wipe your data. So when the download is finished what you need to do is power off your phone and manually boot into cwm using the botton method. Then navigate to the OTA Update folder select the zip and install.

Enabling Tether
Open Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot app and set your desired settings. Next open the Wireless Tether App and tap on the big green Wi-Fi icon, after that you can connect any wireless device to your phone.

Swap Support
How do you know if its working? Open Es File Explorer and navigate to /Cache if you see a swap folder inside then swap is working and you have an extra 500 mb of ram regardless of what any task manager says. If you look at the image below, the line that's starts with "Mem" is the actual amount of ram this phone comes with 793mb and at the time i had used up 723mb of it leaving 70mb of it free. If you look below that and look at the line that starts with "Swap" the amount of 499 *Basically 500mb* it used 61mb and 438Mb of it was free.

Nice!

This is gonna be funny when I post my kernel since I name all my OC kernels (Freedom) lol. I guess it'll be a matching combo lol. They'll go well together.

Hey, Chevan. So, what's the idea exactly? It looks stock from the screen shots. Besides the bloat removal.... What can we expect from this ROM? Plans, ideas, etc?
I look forward to this, man!

Gonna keep it simple for now. I plan to release it this coming week sometime after Christmas. Right now I'm just trying to minimize as much thing as I can without breaking anything. That will give you even better speeds on stock. In the future I will be adding some more features but I don't have any layout of plans. I've already started enabling some features that lg has disabled in our system, Might do a theme too. I haven't done a theme since my last Megatron ROM which was over the summer lol.

First I just wanna say thanks for putting in the work to create this rom. I believe you did some work on my previous phone the Prevail. I cant wait til this is released.

Will you also be putting up an apps package of the apps you take out, that we could download, delete what apps we dont want, and then install the zip file via CWM? Just asking

A requirement to install the ROM is that you have to be running ZV5. Can't be running a higher version on the system and have a lower version on your partitions

I'm trying to get a fix. Trying literally everything I can but it just won't budge, not stopping until I get it to be a little bit better though.

Well maybe the GPS chip itself maybe of bad news, it could be a hardware issue still not fixed

No it doesnt, Im creating this KitKat theme by scratch, cant even use UOT kitchen. This is all hands on work. When its released you can choose to stick with stock theme or use the kitkat theme. The KitKat theme will be the default theme. If you'd still like to use LG's UI theme there will be a flashable zip in the thread.

check your pm, and it doesnt matter. as long as your on zv5 when you install the rom it will replace your current kernel with the kernel that the rom comes with.

Hey chevan, I've been following your work since the Marquee (you are the MegaTron guy, right?) and I was wondering can you make the quick-memo button into a customize-able button for another app? Thank you and keep up the good work

Not sure about chev, but when I'm doing things for free it can put me off to be asked when I'll be done. As mentioned above, patience is likely to yield reward. ;-)

Chev, thanks for working on this, and I look forward to what you produce!

Any chance of this restoring the tethering ability that the zv5 update broke?
