Exclamation pattern over exceeded.

my friend stole my phone and over exceeded the pattern fail limit and now it has come up with a enter gmail acc. i have entered my gmail acc and password but it still wont reset itself, it just keeps saying checking. what should i do????

You gotta do a hard reset, this is a major bug in Android, not sure if it's been fixed in 2.2+ Do a hard reset by holding volume up+home+search for 5 seconds, not longer, not shorter, then tap ok. This will erase everything on the phone

Do not reset you will loose everything, when this happened to me you have to do the following:

- Put in the correct google email
- Put the password as the word null

then it will ask you to choose a new unlock password and its back to normal
remember to check out Talk-Gaming

i like ur teory ive tried to lock my phone but when i enter the correct email an pass it just lets me enter a new pattern how can i lock it so i can use null as pass
