Ok, I know everyone has seen this before but I cannot work it out. Read through lots of threads about the same and tried lots of fixes, nothing worked.

will not download any app from the market

Droid 2.1, tried: wifi & 3G to download / clearing Market cache / toggling on off wifi & bluetooth + some other things I cannot remember
settings: unknown sources = enabled / background data = enabled / auto sync = enabled

I can and do sync with twitter & gmail and do get emails etc...

Any ideas appreciated
