Default Google now voice response
I just go this phone on Tmobile and I cannot get google to speak to me when asking it a question. I will just display the results. I have the media volume up and all the settings seem to be right. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you

I believe it only reads out an answer when you physically ask it. If you're only typing in the question it won't.

How did you get google now on your L9? The only way I can see installing it is if you root it then deodex the os. Otherwise it seems impossible with just root.

Maybe I called it by a wrong name. It is a Google app. It looks like the exact same google that people talk into and get a voice response from.

That is called Google Now and it is only available in Jelly Bean unless you take the time to hack it into Ice Cream Sandwich which is the only version currently available for the L9

Yep JB Google voice will speak to you and let you know when to speak to it.
