Default Reinstall System Apps?

I was using Root Uninstaller and I tried to uninstall Boingo. It kept giving me a pop up window saying the program had to force close. I would force close it and it would keep showing the pop up. I had backed it up, so I tried to uninstall it, but I kept getting the pop up.

When I finally rebooted to stop the endless pop up loop, the program was gone. I still have the backup in my sd card, but when I go to install it as a system app, it won't go into the system.

Do I need this system app to update to 2.3 when that comes out? How do I get boingo back into the system if I want? Is there a stock rom for the LG Optimus M with instructions on how to reinstall all the stock stuff?

There was a thread called "Accidently erased your apks? Download them here!" But I can't find that and I think that might help.

Thank you for your help.

Default Update and more information

Alright, after looking through my phone and doing some analysis of some posts here I figured something out. I pretty much have all the information that I need to reinstall the app myself--because everything is backed up. However, sometimes there are two files in the folder where all the stock crap is. One file is an .apk and the other is an .odex

So, this is what I need to know from some kind member of our community. Is there an .odex file for Boingo_Wi-Fi.apk ? If there is an .odex file, can someone please upload it here or PM it to me? If that is not possible, how can I write an .odex file for Boingo_Wi-Fi.apk?

I just want to make sure I have all the stock crap for the gingerbread update. I know I should have backed up beforehand, but I thought that I was backing up through the uninstaller. There was an option to back up the program, which it says it did. Then there was the problem and I rebooted and the app was uninstalled. I am assuming there is no .odex file becuase the .apk backed up, so why not the .odex?

I want to confirm that this is the case, or if not I would like a copy of the .odex or information on how to create one that will allow me to update to 2.3. I appreciate any help that anyone might give.

Yeah, to remove Boingo you have to wrestle it to the ground by forcing a power off of the phone. But then when re-booted, you see it is thankfully gone.

1) not every app has an odex file.

2) You will not need that app to get Gingerbread. Gingerbread update will probably cram that app back down your throat, so don't worry. Updating from 2.2 to 2..2.1 puts all the bloatware back, so updating to 2.3 (when available) will probably do the same.

If you really, really want it back, go to the Metro App store and re-install it.
