Cry Dear John letter to the Optimus M
I know your gonna hate me for this especially since the holidays are coming up but our relationship has run its course. The esteem is offering so much more, I mean 8gigs of internal memory?!?! I cant say no to that. You were my first android and Ill never forget you, my first voyage into rooting,flashing all that gobbldee gook but Ive outgrown the fish bowl that is capped 3g.
If you love me and want me to be happy youll let me go, Ill give you til next thursday to move, thats the day the esteem will be here, dont make this harder than it already is XOXOX I love you

p.S. Dont tell me her battery life sucks, Im so excited I already have the extended battery enroute

Definitely waiting for a price drop and custom ROM availability. It will be a sad day when this little Optimus goes on extended sleep mode.

yeah i think theyre working on building recovery right now but if you order the phone on wirefly its 250, no need to wait on the rebate

Got my Esteem first week it went on sale, since I knew all about it, having posted a leaked video of the phone back in August.

But I have two Optimus -- one for me and my wife. She is still using hers, but mine is gathering dust. Guess I should sell it?

Bascially I dumped the Optimus without even a goodbye. But I still remember her fondly as my first Android.

Even if I ever do get the Esteem later on or upgrade to the Galaxy Nexus. I will always have my Optimus in heart. As my first android ever it's hard to say goodbye to a phone you played with so much. From as simple as deleting a simple bloatware to trying to get ICS on it. I will dearly miss it ..

The OM had a good run

Well I agree. But untill I get back to work it's the Opt M for me. Luv this little bugger now that I have custom rom and mods w/tweaks. What a great first timer when setup right. Oh yeah, shame on LG cause the M Now comes with gingerbread and NO plans for upgrades on older phones.

Well I said goodbye to my OM. She was good to me but I have upgraded to the Esteem. I'm not too sad though, my M found a new home with a friends son and he loves her just as much as I did.

I'll always have a soft spot for her since she was also my "first" Android and I got a lot of use out of her and she did mod well.

Like everything else though I out grew her and she has pretty much reached her limit as far as modding goes.


Now it's off to the Esteem board for my new home.
