OM's dead
Well, my OM's are finally dead. My wife and I had bought the OM+ and given our OM's to our oldest two children (son and daughter) as alarms, MP3 players, etc. The other day, my son told me that the touch screen doesn't respond any more. I tested it out, and sure enough, you really have to jab at it to get it to do anything, and even then it may not respond correctly. Last night, my daughter swung hers (she had a neck strap attached up in the corner) and it hit her younger brother's leg and now the screen is broken. The glass didn't break, but the LCD is all a mess; multi-colors, all squiggly and such. She obviously jarred a connector loose, or maybe even broke the LCD, I'm not sure. Both phones had been dropped a lot, but both have had jell cases on 'em from day one so have been mostly protected. Maybe they both finally had one too many bumps/jars.
R.I.P OM's. You were great phones, and you were my first Android. I'll always remember you.

touch screen not responding? You havent tried to flash a new rom? or anything at all? o.O I had a similar problem with touchscreen, but it dealt within the rom. Just a suggestion I guess. Sorry to hear that an OM has died tho

i just went thru that situation with mine if i went side ways i can use the keyboard anyway got a new one from ebay $11.00 free shipping oh youhave to add a dab of clear glue around the frame when installing the new one it is easy but not easy to change all common sense and if you do do it your self put the phone on top of a small tower to not scratch the new one

Why don't you use your daughters digitizer to fix your sons phone?

That's a good idea, except that I'm not even a capable repairman. I suppose I could try to find some instructions on the Web, but I don't even want to try my hand at it.

Best case you have a working OM, Worst case you have what you have now.
if you don't find tear down instructions let me know and I'll make a video of me taking mine apart
