Cry removing an e-mail account

If I delete an e-mail account on my phone does that mean I won't have access to it on my PC. I don't want this account on my phone, only my PC. Please advise, thank you.
My phone is a LG OptimusM

Default Don't worry its safe

Your email account is nice and safe online. Donít worry. Removing an email account from the phone wonít cause the email account to get erased.

It just removes it from the phone.

Go into the settings on the phone, then accounts (it might say accounts and sync), click the email you want to remove, then tap remove account. Easy as pie.

If the email account that you are trying to remove is your primary Gmail account though you canít get rid of that without resetting your phone.

Good luck Octavia29

Thank you so much for this info! I was attempting to remove and replace a gmail account and couldn't figure it out until now.

Default Glad I could help :)

No problem, glad I could help

Just remember that your original Gmail is your online signature, so if you ever buy an application off of the Play Store as long as you re-download it with that same Gmail you shouldnít have to pay for that application again. Take that into account before changing it.

If youíre trying to remove your Gmail account because you forgot its password, go to mail.google.com and it will give you the option to reset your password.

And donít forget to write your Gmail account down. If your phone ever malfunctions, breaks, gets lost, or stolen, you can log into your Gmail on your replacement phone (if its Android) and it will pull back a lot of your information automatically.

This can be a real life saver if your phone ever gets stolen. If they take your phone they are going to take your SIM and your Memory Card along with it
(providing your device has a SIM and Memory Card, of course). . Your Gmail can help you recover a lot of needed information.

In any case enjoy
