Default Net10 - LG Optimus Net - really 3G?

Is Net10 going the Boost/Virgin route now? Do they use Sprint's towers to provide 3G service? Curious about this phone, but skeptical of Net10... especially if they really provide 3G.

My wife purchased a new Net10 Android Optimus Net, which looks absolutely nothing that is in the picture after clicking on the above link. That is for the other model of the Optimus Net/Optimus One that was released this past July 2011.

The 3G speeds are great on this phone. just do not have too many applications open and running on the RAM otherwise it does slow down the phone tremendously.
