Has anyone had a problem with the Optimus S spontaneously rebooting?

Today, I was in my car, with the Waze app running, and the phone spontaneously rebooting. After I got to my destination, I looked at the phone and the Waze app, and a couple of others, had disappeared from the phone. My phone has the MVJ baseband, ZVJ build and Android 2.3.3.

This is really starting to annoy me; this is not the first time this has happened.

Mine does the same thing. I'm not sure what causes it. Maybe it gets overloaded with tasks or something like turkbot said. Who knows. It does it at the most random times, during a call, sometimes when I'm not even touching it, sometimes while browsing the web, etc. Mine is flashed to Cricket. Not sure of that has anything to do with it.

This has happened to me too while using Waze. Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications. At the bottom right in green is how much free RAM your phone has left. If it is around 40 MB or less then you might want to move some APPs to the micro SD card in order to free up some memory.

This happens to me, too. I've even had it power itself up. Never happened before the update to 2.3.3.

As I recall, mine did that too, amongst other quirks, so I went back to 2.2.2 Froyo about a year ago and glad I did.
