I tried a bunch of them. Most are just fronts for push ads and none of them did anything appreciable that I could see.

Nevertheless, I still use Internet Connection Booster, not because it does anything, but because it seems like it’s trying to and doesn’t have any ad nonsense. Besides, after all that hunting, I had to choose something.

Hard to tell, sometimes it seems like it is, other times no. On average, I think Iím wasting my time trying to take it seriously.

So just to be brave, now Iím also running Internet Accelerator. Iíll try any of these, as long as theyíre small and donít carry marketing baggage.

Now do that again with the booster off, so we can compare, like la sal said.

That’s better, but not where it matters. At least it’s doing no harm.

According to you readings, download is unchanged but upload is almost three times faster. That’s a good thing, but what we’re really after is improving download speeds. I suppose to really know, you’d have to do those tests more then once, because speeds available vary beyond our control.

So, to answer your question in specific detail: I don’t know.

Just for the record, I yanked Internet Accelerator cuz it ‘updated’ so it can send push ads. I avoid them like the plague.

Found another the doesn’t push: Better Network Signal -Booster

“You should use this application to refresh network and reconnect to best available tower cell.”

As always, I have no idea if it’s helping, just like to try them.
