Default Starting with Optimus p590

Alright so i have two phones to play with so i decided to start with the LG Optimus T, i rooted it like 6 months ago (can't remember how) and now I'm picking it back up again...

i backed up my current rom and installed a new one thru Rom Manager, CM7, its been stuck at the skating android screen for a good 15 minutes now. So i guess this particular rom isn't compatible with my device?

If thats true than what is? the phone is a bit old so i guess i would have to dig around for a version still compatible?

Ok i finally got CM7 installed and working :P
Now i came across using gfree as a permaroot solution for my mytouch, in a video it shows also using gfree to sim unlock the phone. is that possible with this LG too?
