Increase Font Size

Is there any way to increase the font size on texting and the icons for the Lg Optimus V.

There are several apps for rooted phones to change font size...and one for SMS font size that doesn't require a rooted phone...I don't know how it works with the V, but you can try it.

There is also one that works in conjunction with accessibility called text enlarger. Beware it might make some apps crash, but there is a per app setting where you can turn it off for uncooperative apps. Also it cuts off tops of letters in lists if you have the font size high, so beware that as well. This app has really helped me out. Phone doesn't need rooting for this app.

As an update, as of tonight I can't get the per app settings for text enlarger to work. So I'm forced to no longer recommend it. I'm heartbroken! My phone was so easy to see with that app. Maybe will try the above. Would help with text reading.
