how do you send an MMS message

I understand there is some problems with receiving MMS messages so I started to look at mine. Thing is I can't see anyway to send an MMS message on my optimus. Went to the virgin mobile web site found how to set up MMS for an LG otimus but the options are not available on my phone. Help please.

Easiest way is to go the the Gallery and select an image...or take a picture...you'll then see a share option...and an option to send via Messaging...that will direct you to VM MMS. You can then try and send the picture to another phone (or email address). I've been trying to get MMS working all week to other phones and it's still not working. VM is having major issues with MMS per all the reports online.

Using the stock app, I would get a "message expired" error when trying to send MMS. I downloaded Handcent SMS and I'm pretty sure every pic I've sent so far has gone through.

Yeah...I'm thinking about downloading Handcent or GoSMS...Handcent can't be installed to the card...I don't know about GoSMS yet....but they are both around 3MB...huge apps. Ridiculous to have to download an SMS app just to send simple MMS. VM has really dropped the ball on this one big time.

Don't know why, but it seems I must be the only one that never had an issue with mms from day one of activation. My phone has been working flawlessly with very long battery life. I must have lucked out and got the good one

My son's phone worked since day one...he actually had his a week before I got mine! (got it from Radio Shack before the Optimus release date! LOL)

GoSMS didn't work for me...same error. Guess I will try Handcent...but the reply messages I'm getting from VM's customer service are reminding me that this is Sprint, after all, and 9 of 10 people you get for "support" got their training at Clueless U.

Finally got a text tonight from VM support telling me they'd reset the 3G services on my account, along with a number for escalation if it didn't work. MMS finally works. Sheesh.

You must have data connectivity to send an MMS.
