Default Extended Battery cases for Optimus v

Thanks for your help in advance!
Looking for a case to fit the Optimus V with an extended battery; prefer not to take the phone out of the case to use the phone.
THANKS!

umm... a battery... that lasts longer. lol

@tedfam, I've never seen any for the Optimus V. They're pretty few and far between, and usually for pretty popular models. I assume you're talking about the same thing I am, about a case with a built in battery that lasts longer than the included one.

Since the Optimus V is a relatively obscure phone I wouldn't get your hopes up for finding anything like this.

I believe an extended battery is 3000mAh while the normal battery is 1500mAh

Yes. But in my search I found it to be a bit more than that. You actually need a new back cover for the phone to fit this type of battery (which is why I had asked about what type of battery that was.. the ops description made it sound like it was more than just an extended battery, which it is hehe). I had no idea such thing existed.

One of the reasons why I love this forum so much.... I almost always learn something new about my phone every day!

The battery isn't the best lasting, but i believe you will have the same problem with the phone with the power these have. Just be sure to keep an extra battery with you or the car charger or computer charger. its no big deal to keep it plugged in when you can and unplug when you are out.

Hi all. This is my first post.

I have used the extended battery for 2 weeks now, purchased off ebay for 21.95 with free shipping. It does come with the back cover. 2800mah battery and it is wonderful!

I still do the airplane mode trick, for TWS issue, and the battery will last a heck of alot longer than the standard one did. I am very pleased with it. Search ebay for Optimus v extended battery.

Thanks All!
I did get the extended battery, which as someone else indicates enable the phone to last longer between charges-the one I ordered from ebay also comes with a back cover to make up for thicker phone profile. Is there no case that would cover the front, too? Does not seem like the snap together kind would work. The battery does work! With airplane mode and wifi turned off when traveling been able to go 2 days without a charge!

You can't carry a phone around in an app. This thread is about a physical case to put on the outside of his mobile, not an app to install inside of it. An extended battery is larger and requires a modified or special case.

Now that you've had your battery for several months, would you recommend them to another member? Are they holding a charge? Are they continuing to last for "Days"? What's the latest information you could furnish us with to update your experience?

Thanks, ~Steve

Can anyone rate or review the ACE 3900mA Extended Battery BACK which comes with the battery, cover and battery dock/charger. It's designed for the LG Optimus S V U LS VM 670. Here's a link to the product on ebay:

Wouldn’t it be great, though, if we had apps like that? Get it from the market, start it, and »stuff« would grow out of the seems of the phone and wrap itself around it? How long, do you think, will we have to wait until this technology is available?

I ordered a few different cases after considering the dimensions of the standard Optimus and comparing it to other phone specs. This one came in the mail today:

Rugged Heavy Duty Nylon Canvas Protective Cell Phone Case Pouch (with belt clip) for HTC Evo/HD2/Inspire/Thunderbolt by Reiko

Only $2.39 on Amazon, how can you go wrong!

The phone fits great into the case, and I love the heavy duty clip on the back. The only issue is that the case is taller than the phone. I plan on modding the case by sewing the flap at the top. I'll post photos soon to show the mod. Once done it'll be perfect.

Sadface. I wanted to buy an extended battery and overclock the phone to something around 864-729. My phone could handle it, but the stock battery definitely can't.
