If so which program worked best for you????

hate the trial n error of testing new apps when there are like 100 of them that do the same thing

Well after reading allot this seem to be the census about them "it just puts the phone in and out of airplane mode, which does actually give you more bars. that's why it hides the status bar for a second..try it yourself"

Guessing the back n fourth from airplane mod makes phones rescan n find a better tower if one is near.

so a quick airplane mode toggle would be "more" useful as you may want to leave it on.

I use to do that when I was unrooted. I had a widget button just for that.
