Default trouble dialing certain phone number

Ever since I got this phone, I've had trouble dialing my home phone landline number. I call the number and it rings and rings in my ear, but it never actually rings at home.

sometimes if I let it ring like 10 times, it eventually rings at home, someone picks it up, and they said they only heard it ring one time.

sometimes it rings in my ear once or twice, then it stops for about 30 seconds to a minute, then it starts ringing again. usually it actually rings at the house when it starts ringing after the pause.

I keep telling me this problem is a fluke and it's going to fix itself but it's been going on ever since I got the phone. I seem to have no problem calling other numbers. Just my home phone. And the problem happens whether I have one bar or 4.

very frustrating. I need to call home sometimes!

has anyone experienced anything similar to this? were you able to resolve it?

thanks

Your problem is probably not the phone, but the network. I've noticed the same problem like you described with both Virgin & Verizon where the cell phone rings 2 - 3 time before the land line rings. But I have never seen it any worse than 2-3 rings.
