Default Help me make a decision!!

Still issues with bluetooth syncing and unsyncing with multiple bluetooth devices (car, truck, headset...). Phone disc from calls, freezing up here and there in multiple applications. Have done a hard reset 2X now and still happening. Now these issues have come about only after 2.2 update.

I'm up for an upgrade and can get the Sam. Charge or LG Rev. for $299 or $249 and with my 'trade in' Fascinate, I'll get an additional $132 off, so I can get either these for $167 or $117. My wife's Fascinate has it's own issues but is not up for upgrade, but VZW has given us ok to get discounted price on both.

Is it worth it? Should we do? The software is the same on the Charge as is with Fascinate(2.2.1) and Revolution(2.2.2). What is the difference? I'm thinking we should maybe do the trade in only because they're getting rid of the 'new every two' a\o Oct 24 2011. Not to mention I should probably get on the 'unlimited' with 4G while I can, before the go with the tiered plans this summer just in case they allow those who have unlimited to stay that way and only new customers will be on a tiered plan. If they're allowing you to grandfather in of course.

NOW, The rep who was up the chain a bit did mention the Fascinate is set to get 'Honeycomb' very soon!! YES, HONEYCOMB, I asked her repeatedly and she confirmed they released for the galaxy tabs and are just waiting to see how it does on those before releasing it for the other Samsung phones. So should I wait??? HDMI, 4G, 32gb card- is it worth it for an additional $167. Or go with LG and get 16gb internal w\ 16gb memory card, HDMI not as nice screen, loaded with Bing, but save $50 and still get 4G and not have the 'issues' of a Samsung product?? Both have front facing cameras too. I think I want to but not sure which(don't want Bing crap) but don't want 'issues', and money is always tight!!!

HELP ME MAKE A DECISION..... PLEASE

Great informative reviews here... Well Rounded Revolution Review, and in is revolution forum area, there is a pretty good comparison done up between the Revo and Charge.

madjpey, also look at my comparison of the Charge vs LG Revo, I owned both, took back the Charge, too glitchy with Touch Wiz 3.0, RFS file system, and 328MB RAM for apps. See the link for more in depth:

The Charge has 512 ram. I have had my Charge for almost a month and I have not had any problems with touchwiz. I own spb shell 3d and launcher pro plus and I am using touchwiz over both. I played with the Revolution in store and it was really nice. Bing is really the only downside and possibly the camera but either way both phones are great, I just prefer the Charge.

I got the Rev yesterday and have not experienced any issues with bing. Honestly I don't do searches. After removing the icons from the main page, I forgot bing was even there. I have rooted, totally easy, and I am waiting for a recovery mod so I can start hacking away at the OS to remove all the Verizon crap and apps I won't ever use. The phone is sweet and smooth and the battery life is decent. It has been 9hrs and minimal use of the phone (checking emails and rooting) and I have 79% battery left.

It was well worth it. I am happy so far but its only been a day.

And netflix is awesome on this thing. Now I have decent lunch time entertainment.

good, was wondering if netflix still worked if rooted on this thing. Figured it did, just keep forgetting to check.

Current phones are not getting Honeycomb:

Displays are not high enough resolution, so will look funky

HC requires dynamic storage, not enough space

The person might have meant Icecream, but again a sales person in a local VZW thought Hummingbird was an OS.

Not the best sources sometimes

Concur with Rushmore, VZW reps sometimes get the facts jumbled up, particularly on a day that released 4 phones, DX2, Experia, Revo, and WP7.

It boils down to preference, if you are outdoors all the time, I would go with the Charge and it's Super AMOLED Plus screen, it truly looks the best in direct sunlight, then I would root it, Voodoo the RFS, debloat it, and be happy for a year at least. If you go that route do not let the phone OTA update to ED2... It will make it a little harder to root. Fear not if it does happen, there is a procedure to downgrade to ED1 or just root from there.
