Was in Verizon store Nashua, NH last week looking at the Spectrum. One concern was the interface vs others (without using 3rd party program to modify). Verizon associate told me LG rep was just in the store and informed them of a new LG program that can be downloaded for free and will allow users to customize the look/feel of the interface - mush more than what is supported normally by the Android OS.
He told ne the name of the program but I forgot. Does anyone know about this, and how I can get the program?

No, that's an alternate home app, like ADW or Go Launcher

Not that I can tell. That app is LG's version of Amazon Appstore or Android Market.
I looked through the Android Market and don't see anything that lets us change the look/feel of the interface. It's an LG skin, so logically, LG would offer something that allows us to change it, but I'm not seeing it.

Link??? Please. Have not found in Google Market nor on LG SmartWorld Website.
Its built in to my plagued optimus rom. I believe its under /system/app if you wanna pull out the apk. Or you can get it on LG smartworld. That's the only place I've found themes for it. It kinda looks alright. But not my style.

I messed with Themebox and wasn't impressed with the themes available. I think it's cool that LG is moving in the right direction with customization options. I'm trying Launcher 360 and it's pretty good. Here's a screenshot. uploadfromtaptalk1349051245160.jpg
I should add that the mid section with my notifications is a widget from Executive Assistant, not part of 360.

Oh there is some kind of Free Utilities program as well on there.
Yuck.
I want their software gurus concentrating on getting upgrades and updates out the door in a timely manner, not on customizations that others in the Play Store do much better. These don't differentiate their offerings, or make me feel better about purchasing LG.
Having ICS on my phone as promised, well that would be a different matter.

I want them to concentrate on ICS also, but it won't bother me if the update includes stock customization options along with it above and beyond themes. I dont understand why no stock interfaces offer the option to use 3rd party icons. I'm hoping the update will prove to be well worth the wait. Im an optimist in case you didn't notice.
The LG Spectrum for Verizon Wireless is the sucessor to the LG Revolution. Surely, LG did not want to stay behind, so this device packs some great specs and features. The Spectrum sports a 4.5-inch HD IPS display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and ... Read More
