Need help backing down from 2.3.6 to 2.3.5

Hi all,

I updated to 2.3.6 only to find out you can't root it. All of my files and data were backed up using Titanium. Unfortunately Titanium only works with a rooted phone.
Anyone know where I can find a stock image of 2.3.5 or any way to back 2.3.6 down to 2.3.5 so I can root it and get my files and data back?

Or any way to root 2.3.6?

If you're using a spectrum then why don't you just update to ics?

2.3.6 can be rooted, so can ICS (4.0.4) which is the most recent update. Everything you need for either is here in the forums.

yea all versions of android on the spectrum can be rooted and have CWM put on it. V3 aka 2.3.5, V4 aka 2.3.5, (V5 aka 2.3.6 was never "officially released") V6 aka 2.3.6, and V7 aka 4.0.4 all have root and CWM.
