Default Need suggestions - used spec or something else?

My spectrum was stolen last weekend and I'm losing my mind using my Droid X. Loved my spec--it was the perfect phone for me. But I've never lost a phone so I didn't have the replacement insurance. Will probably buy a used one on CL or ebay. Before I do that I wanted to ask you all if you would look at another phone. I was not rooted, liked ICS fine, casual user, only phone so signal most important, email, work, pandora, information seeker. Thank you for any suggestions. (it will most likely be a used phone unless I can find a super deal on a new phone)

And just a shout out--all of you helped me chose the spec and helped with many, many issues. Thanks to all of you who post. This forum is priceless.

It depends on how much you are willing to spend. If you don't want to spend anymore than 125 or so then the spectrum might be your best option. But if you were willing to spend a lot more then there may be other better options. TBH though, I can't really think of any off the top of my head. It's hard to beat the spectrum for what it's sold for used. I'm sure you'll be able to find one around 100 dollars now and I don't think you can beat that for a phone with the specs that the spectrum has.

If you were due for an upgrade I would say get the HTC DNA

I would honestly say to look at swappa (Swappa (Android) Buy and sell gently used Android devices) . You're more likely to get an honest/clean phone then thru CL or ebay, for roughly the same price. If nothing else, it can give you a base-line for what any phone you're looking for should be costing.

Thanks for the support and suggestion on Swappa. They haven't had any specs this week so I bit the bullet and bought on Ebay. Supposedly brand new in box for $140. Fingers crossed. Won't be here until Monday. I spent a little time looking at other phones. Maybe an Intuition when I can upgrade next year. Nothing compares to the Spec (as far as used and under $150) and I will never understand why our phone got so little attention. My coworkers and friends are always asking me about my Spec.
