Automatic software upgrade?

Okay, so the LG Spectrum by Verizon updates the software automatically, without my consent??

Verizon sent this to me as a replacement phone. I learned on this forum that the software was an older version, but that some in the forum felt it was not worth the upgrade. For my purposes, I had planned on just leaving it as it.

But...while I was in the shower IT UPDATED BY ITSELF?? On the HTC Incredible the user has to "Accept" any software upgrades. Apparently this one does not?

After about 20 minutes of updating, it appears the update was successful, thank goodness. But I am anxious that functionality may not work correctly now as others have experienced. Grrr....

Which software version are you on now? ZV6b or ZV7? Honestly, I thought the upgrade was worth it. The only downside is it adds a little extra step to rooting and installing a ROM. Not a big deal though.
