First if this has been covered please forgive me but was unable to find it...
I have updated GMaps and that caused the theme to go away which I am not sure why bcuz I waited until I had everything installed, updated, etc before I installed the Blueberry Theme!
Here is a screenshot and as it shows all is well except Google Maps...is there a way I can fix this???
Ok thanks...there should be a fix for this tho i am hoping???
I'm pretty sure that every time you update an app, it will lose the theme. Personally, if I really care about the theme then I won't update the app unless the update is significant, which is rare.
Review - Liquid Frozen Yogurt 1.6
Installation & Setup
Install was exceptionally smooth. I wiped and installed the rom, I chose to stick with the stock 1000LV kernel because it was perfect! I skipped the sign-in and used Titanium Backup to restore my apps, which is included in the rom. I then signed in to my accounts and allowed everything to sync up. Everything seems to be working great! Just faster than I’m use to . I do have one FC that has been mentioned before. When using voice search to dictate and send a text, it works fine unless you have to add anything to the text. As soon as you try to speak in the subject area for a second time, the app FCs. This is the ONLY consistent issue I have found and it is a very small issue. In fact, if I had not read about it from another user, I would not have even tested it. Right after setup, the rom felt very fast! And it still has arguably the coolest boot animation ever!
Speed & Performance
I was very excited to try LFY 1.5 because of the glowing reviews I had read regarding its speed. Unfortunately some part of my 1.5 set up did not agree with my Droid. As soon as my set up was complete with 1.6, I noticed the huge speed difference. 1.6 is impressively fast! And I just came from Sapphire 1.1 which is maybe my favorite rom. LFY 1.6 just plain flies! This is exactly what I was hoping to see. Smooth screen transitions, so much so that I found myself just changing screens because I was so impressed with its fluidity (or Liquidity? ). There were times that my Droid ‘should have’ redrawn when going back to a home screen but it did not. This makes my phone that much more of a pleasure to use. Even my battery life has been great! I expect my battery life to decrease the faster my phone is operating, this is not the case with LFY 1.6. My phone is moving faster than it was on Sapphire 1.1 and the battery lasts longer. Everything works how it should and as fast as you expect it to. I have not had any consistent FCs and I don’t recall having a single reboot since I flashed this Thursday night, not one! One minor issue I’ve had is my gallery is slow to load. It has been better on subsequent visits but still seems slow. Even considering this, based on speed and performance alone, this rom deserves a 5/5.
Slayher Stock 1000LV(all other reviews have been either a 1100LV or 1200LV, please consider this)

Features
As stated in the LFY 1.5 review, this rom is built for speed and stability. As such, it does not have many features outside of scripts.
Themes
Liquid’s team has done a fine job of making themes to go with LFY and have received support from some great themers such as Stewart1Champ and thebowers. My three personal favorites (Watermark’d, Black n Bold, & 928Droid’s Black Glass) have already been ported to 1.6. There are a significant number of options to choose from. I’m still rockin’ the Black n Bold .
Conclusion
My expectations for Liquid Frozen Yogurt have been high, to the point that I was beginning to believe that I was expecting too much. Well Liquid’s team has put together arguably the fastest rom I have ever used and it is completely stable! The word that comes to mind is efficient. Sure LFY 1.6 is not packed with bells and whistles, but perhaps this is a huge part of what makes it so efficient. Liquid’s team has optimized this rom to run exactly how they want it, fast! Installation was simple and set up was one of the fastest I’ve ever done. The stock kernel is perfect! And Liquid has the best themes already ported plus themes that are specific to LFY. I typically take features into account when giving the overall rating but I feel that is unfair since features are not a goal of this rom. I will say that in terms of what Liquid and his team were aiming to achieve, which I believe is to be the fastest rom that is stable, then they have certainly achieved it and deserve a 5/5. I personally would like to see more features, but I cannot deduct points for something that is intended. This is a solid, fast build and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to flash it. I have to give this build a perfect 5/5. Great job Liquid and team!
Overall Rating: 5/5

Yes it will. The only way to fix it is to theme the app yourself. Or wait till the next release and the new theme that accompanies it.
I'm kinda excited about the next LFY release. Liquid has said that he has gotten scripts/code from BlackDroid. If the two get combined it can only be an amazing ROM.

Well shoot! But I understand...the only thing is that the update to Google Maps was IMO a pretty good update so therefore I was wanting the updated version but I can revert back...
Thanks for the info! This is also the problem with LPPlus on my device!
I love it. I've been wanting it, actually switched to Sapphire for it a while back, but then i discovered LFY and it wasn't good enough to make me give up this ROM. So i enjoyed blueberry for a while, but my heart has always been with BG.

I liked all of em except for orange. Makes me think of the Gators. I hate Florida.
LMAO...Im in Florida (Born and Raised in Tampa) and I HATE the Gators also!!! GO NOLES!!!!!!! I'm in the process of moving back from Denver, CO. Right on!
How can you not love FSU? Waaaaaaaaaaay too much history, kinda like my Pack in the NFL. Plus how can you not like Bowden, too bad he's gone? Now, Urban Meyer on the other hand.....i hope he eats poison frozen yogurt.

Welcome back, even if you are a noles fan.
I have to say that LFY 1.5 was not a good experience for me so I reverted back to 1.4 until 1.6 came out. LiQuID, I'm loving 1.6! It's super fast just like 1.4 and I'm enjoying the updated features.

maybe its just me (or my phone rather), but has anyone else recently lost their network connection? I was using 928 droids theme, now swapped back to black and bold still no luck... Seems like everything works fine until i actually use the network (verizon). If i make a call in about 45 seconds its dropped, if using google maps it just says lost connection or does nothing at all.
edit- nevermind a quick battery pull did the trick, not sure why this happened...

How's everything running with the 1250?
When I tried my browser would close, not FC just quit go blank blank bye bye.. I attributed it to just getting warm, now I am using dolphin so I may give the 1250 another go round..
Nice jbulluck.
Was running Slayher 1200, I may have to try Slayher's 1250 and see what I can do....

Thanks everyone...SNeitzel, WOW!!! Mine is measured in MHzs, SNeitzels' is measured in HORSEPOWER!!! GREAT JOB!!!
Now i gotta see what else I can get
The only thing i am experiencing using the 1250 is my Droid runs HOT at times, like I have seen it at 149 deg but only last 3 secs...I dont think it has anything to do with me being in Florida with it running hot but I'll be back in Colorado on the 23rd so we'll see if cooler weather and higher altitude come in to play?!?!

I agree w/ SNeitzel, mine is running fine w/out any problems other than heat as mentioned in my post above however, the only time heat comes into play is when i run multiple Quadrants...
Being the topic of discussion here...anyone have any idea as to why on the very first time I flashed this ROM and the 1250 Kernel, heat was not an issue at all!! But now that I have started from scratch (3x's) the 2nd and 3rd time flashing these on my device heat has came into play, like I have noticed it runs hotter than the first time flashing...not really looking for a fix (unless there is something recommended) but just thought I would throw this out there and see what others experience or experience the same thing??
I skipped over 1.5 based on the reviews and the fact that that 1.4 was running so incredibly great on my phone. Installed 1.6 today and all I can say is.....BRAVO!!! I kept the stock kernel intact this time and it is running great. I don't even think I'll try a different kernel anytime soon. We'll see....
am i the only one that doesn't find 1.6 to work well? 1.5 seems to work better for me. i was on 1.6 for a couple days but battery life was not good at all. also overheating a lot. did everyone do a full wipe and clean install? i've only been installing it over the previous versions. also how are people getting such high scores in quadrant by clearing the cache? is it from clearing the cache in recovery?

v1.6 for me is the BEST experience I have ever had!! Yes i am wiping 3x's and doing a clean install ("starting from scratch" was verbage I used ) and I find that to work best, for me anyway!
Try wiping and starting fresh would be my input..
Honestly, i havent tried to clear cache...I am in the process of learning how to use CacheMate but havent used it yet! Not sure which options to clear and dont want to mess anything up so i'm taking my time, learning!
This is a list of what I have on my phone and I know that some apps do the same things or may have the same features in another app but I'm just trying different ones out to find which works best for me...I am open to any and all feedback for this list!

I read a post from someone on the Liquid team that strongly suggested wiping before flashing. I had a 1.5 setup but decided to start fresh. I had a 'not good' experience with 1.5, but I think 1.6 has grown into my main rom. Between that and Sapphire.
I'm very green at this, but can some one tell me why I can't flash the BB theme? I managed to flash 1.6 a new kernal but BB just gets me stuck at the blue eye until I recover? Clearly it works for others what am I doing wrong?

You are not wiping data or anything else when applying the theme are you?
Make sure your stock ROM is set up (apps restored, etc.), then boot into recovery and flash the theme just like the ROM EXCEPT that you don't wipe data or format partitions when you apply the theme.
I'm running LFY1.6 and love it. My battery life lately, though, seems less and I'm not sure why (running default kernel, etc.). But not complaining. I can usually make it through a day.
Question -- what are the chances of getting a *purple* theme? Grape LFY or Boisenberry or whatever... I haven't themed yet because of the color choices... just tossing this out there.
As an aside -- I have to use a Blackberry for work and I recently installed a Droid theme for it. I love it! Makes it look so much better.

I honestly don't remember what the process was. I don't think I would have wiped data, it just doesn't make sense. It may have been the apps. I was trying to get it done and may have tried to apply the theme before the apps restored. I did get the smoked theme on board though. So apparently I solved my issues. The reason I ask is because I'm getting lots of lag on the UI with LFY and the 1.1 kernel?
I am currious about the kernel though. IF I changed it out for the 1.1 kernel does that mean I'm running the droid at 1.1 Ghz or is the kernel just the optimized kernel and I need setCPU to crank it up?

I have two issues I really need help with please...
I wanted to restore my phone to an earlier time and date like I have many times so, I reboot into recovery via ROM Manager (everything seems fine so far)...after searching around in recovery mode on my sd card (I shouldn't have had to search) bcuz I knew where all my backups were saved at, I was unable to locate any of them where they should be! Any ideas what might i have done???
Now the second part...
I was trying to restore my phone to a previous backup using ROM Manager (same as above), I attempted to boot into recovery however this go around I cannot get past the Motorola Logo boot screen...what have i done wrong???
This second part started after i pressed "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" while inside ROM Manager app...did I screw this up by doing that???
If this is posted somewhere I apologize, please point me in that direction! I really need some assistance regarding these two similar issues...please help!
