The Descent by Jeff Long is a good read (not to be confused with the crappy movie).

Changeling (Chris Kubasik) is pretty good...imagine suddenly turning into a three meter troll at the age of 15 and trying to cope with it.

The things we carried by Tim Obrien.

we had to read this for school, and this has to be one of the best books we actually read in school. Another was The Great Gatsby. That was a book I really liked. The movie however. They kind of sucked.

I am getting hocked onto the Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine.... they are really good and so different to the whole love between human and vampire as its about two humans at the first book

Foundation and Earth, Isaac Asimov.

Really blew me away when the robot series and the foundation series were linked together.

Moving Mars, Greg Bear

Really awesome book. Makes you really think about the implications of nanotech.

The integral Trees, Larry Niven.

OK, I could go on, but I'll stop here.
