Default cyber hacking via geotagged photo uploads

WBZ TV, channel 4 in Boston, MA today reported a caution re: uploaded photos to websites from smartphones being cyberhacked via geotagged photos.

Instructions to disable geotags on photos for upload can be found at:

icanstalku.com/how.php#disable

Has anyone else heard of this? It is claimed that a savy 10 year old can cyberhack a smartphone through geotagged photos on the web.
