I know a woman who had supported her drunk husband until he left her for another woman. The divorce judge said she had to give the bum half of everything. She decided that half is exactly what he would get. She took a chainsaw, and proceeded to cut everything in the house in half. Furniture, appliances, family keepsakes, and so on. She was in the garage working on the Corvette she bought him when the police arrived. I swear on my baby boys pacifier every word of that is true.

I work in a call centre and I have a polite opening script that introduces the company and myself, and asks for the caller's name. I will then address them by name, ask what the problem is and take the necessary details.
What really grinds my gears is people who interrupt my opening script, normally with inane rants about how the product isn't working. It's rude, inconsiderate, and puts the whole call off to a bad start. It's also impossible for me to make any notes about the issue until I've taken a name and a number so I can open a ticket (we have to add notes to an existing ticket if there is one).

I agree with you 100%We should allow call center to take
all our information first before we
begin bitching (no matter how much they annoy us and talk to us like we're 5) Don't take me the wrong way but most companies out there train their call
takers to speak slow and in a clear voice which is great, but if you are using a product or services that don't live up to expectations it's difficult to stay calm on the phone with someone talking to me like I have all day. Again not your fault you were trained that way and only doing your job properly. I blame the companies .

Customers who don't pay any attention to emails.
I tell one I can ship NEXT Wednesday and they send me an order to deliver the 16th. Then argue that I told them the 16th.

Woof! I am so frustrated. I worked for an hour to get a small size photo uploaded to my profile, but it doesn't show in my posts. AND, I am lost, and cannot find the right place to ask what I did wrong, and how to get my photo to display?

Woof!
You uploaded it to your profile pic. A few options below that you should see an option to update your avatar. Upload it there and it will show on your posts (I'm not sure if there is a minimum post count before it shows up).
@Unforgiven, thanks, it worked, and the Avatar displays rightaway, even tho I got a message that the upload failed! Thanks again, I was really frustrated.

No problem Red Hare, a pretty pooch like that deserves to be on each post.

That is Sandy, my son's rescue mut out of Mexico to LA. A real junk yard survivor. She is part Golden retriever and part small dog. She has red hair, but is not Red Hare. He has left her with me while he lives in Harlem with his significant other.
Users who post that they need help, you give it, and you never know if it worked....They never post back!
Yes, but often some other user will find the thread and your answer and hit thanks, so in the end it works out.

Strange it should automatically resize for the forums then...I've uploaded one that was way too large and the forums converted it for me...maybe try converting it to another format?
pulling at staws here really don't know why it wouldn't be working
You could make a thread in the suggestion box and see if someone else can set your avatar...I don't think mods can but I think Phases can...I change my avatar a lot and have never had an issue...

People that take bicycles on the subway, taking up room, making an already packed train even more cramped. Extremely rude and inconsiderate I think, plus I don't particularly want to get chain oil on my clothes. Thing is though, if they've got bikes, why don't they ride the things, why take the subway?

Yeh it always seems to be broken. I used to like posting on Engadget, but since they switched to this thing for whatever reason, so often I just see "Disqus failed to load" or something like that.
Damn drivers that can't make a left turn at a light without slowing down to 1MPH. If these people would just move a little faster, the number of cars the light is timed for could make the turn.
It's a one lane at a time left turn. The rest of the traffic in that direction goes at the same time. The other direction and its left turn go at the end of the cycle.
I was taught to corner by two drivers that raced Porsches and TR4s. I had a Spitfire and did learn to "heel and toe" Wouldn't do that with the truck. But our '94 Infiniti can corner, so I would assume that handling has been improved ever more.
My daughter passed her UK driving test with a perfect score. Very rare. She had a class B here.
Her rants about the parking brake were funny.

Those are annoying. So are the ones dawdling along 5mph or more below speed without a noticeable reason. So are tailgaters, or those impatient types who get upset if you obey traffic laws, such as letting pedestrians through the intersection.
People who resign a game on Words With Friends because they got bad letters! (The game was close, and there were over 40 tiles left...) Exchange them! Or those who resign at end of game because they can't place a tile...Pass your turn, don't resign!
Moving all the crap in the house to get it painted.
Plus we had a reverse mortgage repo across the street, and people looking for good stuff, threw everything else on the ground. We had stuff blowing all over!

Damn drivers that can't make a right or left turn without screeching their tyres.
