The makers of Always maxi-pads really ought to find some industrial or vehicular application for that super-adhesive they're using. Not the best choice for a paper-based product, though. I do get tired of the pad tearing apart when I'm attempting to remove it, leaving adhesive and maybe some filling still adhered to my underwear, with bits of icked filling coming loose and creating an obnoxious cleanup in the bathroom.

Well, my rant is because I KNOW I aint man enuff to take the pain!
I didn't even START on the other joys of menstruation, such as cramps, mood swings, laundry crises, etc.
...and with THAT said, on behalf of ALL Mens'es in Man Cavedom, i have to bow and say YOU ROOL!!! (i KNOWWWW i couldnt endure that!)
Now My Rant: we MENZ 'spoze to be the STRONGER 'sects' (spelling/ but you get the "sound"), ...then when we MENFOLK catch the sniffles or if we had to suffer 'the abovementioned..
I'm going to rant about the Iphone - usage rather than the phone itself.
Sprint is now trying to offload some data to wifi, and apparently charging users for using wifi (didn't quite understand friend's rant. She has an EVO) ATT and Verizon have been changing data charges around ever since the Iphone hit the networks. ATT will start offloading to wifi from what I've read. The carriers bit off more than they could chew and make a profit.
The carriers do need to make money, but didn't they foresee this happening? Most promised unlimited data until the Iphone got going. Now everyone is paying for inefficiency on both phone and carriers part.
TMO doesn't have the Iphone - but we have users that have grandfathered 5.99 data plans and try to use those for unlimited data. They then get pissed when TMO says they can't or throttles them.
Everyone who has a data plan is entitled to get data - but not at the expense of all the other users, dammit.
I see one Canadian ISP is charging a lower rate for those who download during offpeak hours.
There are posts about using task killers. Whether we should or not is moot. What both sides should be grateful for is that the user is at least trying to SEE how the phone works, not just blindly accepting what the carrier or phone maker says.
Android will be just as guilty when that "live" from the new Samsung phone gets going.
I guess I'm just tired of flipping people who only can think "it's so cool" without thinking about the consequences.

Last summer (maybe a summer or two before, time kinda mashes together), I had some sap drip on my car. It was damn near impossible to get rid of. I'm pretty sure that when wet, you can still see where it is/was.

I hate it when everyone goes nuts for apple. I bring up the court case between apple and samsung and people say 'So what?' or 'Isn't it good that apple won?'. How could you be so blind? Apple is the farthest you can get from open source, it's the farthest you can get from user customization, it's the farthest you can get from basic functionality (maybe the last point was a little over exaggerated).
What I'm trying to say here is that open source is crazy, user customization is what we need and the sooner we get it the sooner we move forward as the human race. Sure Samsung may have copied Apple, but seriously who takes out a patent on rounded corners? Not to mention that software patents are nothing more than a joke in apples favour.
Now to my last point, the microsoft surface. All I ever hear is 'Oh wow, microsoft are so jealous of the iPad that they stole apples idea and now they are trying to make their own iPad'. In case you didn't realise, Bill Gates actually introduced something very similar to a tablet in the year 2000, called the 'Microsoft Tablet PC'. Yes, it was a tablet. Yes, it was a mere 10 YEARS before the iPad was even announced. Guess what, no one cared.
Ok, maybe this will be the last one. 'Apple is doing wonderful things for technology', 'what innovators are apple, if it weren't for them we wouldn't be anywhere near our current technological status'. I hate it how people can be so ignorant to say this, all they did is took what we already had and put a new colourful case on it. 'They invented the iPod', sure they may have coined the term 'iPod' but I reasonably sure that MP3 players were around long before the humble ipod.
I'm sorry for all of the apple hate, but I needed to get this off my chest.

Ouch-did you have to put this in with the wash load
Nothing dissolves that crap!!
LOL
No. Goo Gone. Then rubbing alcohol. The spots are still kind of hard but not dark colored so they blend into the pants. Kid said she can't do a cold water wash in the UK. Machine doesn't have that choice. Apparently Goo Gone isn't available there, so I gave her a bottle.
I remember that MS tablet. The Newton was out about the same time. MS tablet died when handheld PDAs came out. Almost everyone that made computers had a PDA - Sony, HP, Dell, etc. They either ran Palm or Win CE.
There were a couple of Linux ones. They had rounded corners or they didn't. I have a TG 650 that is approximately the same size screen as some phones.
What pisses me about the Apple products is the innovation of no SD card. I purposely bought a Sansa since it used a card. Meant I could transfer anything from computer to card without any crappy software! Could also have over 100G is separate storage if I wanted it.
I think data storage if not actual apps should be able to be put on external storage.
A lot of the guide books I use have huge databases. Just installing those alone used up almost 10G of storage. This does not include music or movies!
While not quite as sophisticated as today - Palm and CE had an astronomical program that had almost all the info of today's programs and could also guide a telescope via ASCOM and bluetooth. All this on a device whose capacity was measured in Megabytes!

I think today's Top Rant Post goes to Bren S. for pulling one over on the ol' Stinky Stinky!
My issue revolves around my social ineptitude. When meeting new people or seeing someone from my past after a long hiatus - I find myself very awkward. I can only imagine how they view me.
At nights my mind wanders to people I used to know, and chances I never took. I'm not sure if it's quite regret, I mean, all the things you do, and don't do add up to create who you are.
I'm sure these thoughts will ease by the time I try to sleep right?

Damn shopping centers that you can't exit. Right turn for one major road is by traffic signal. You don't get a chance. Everyone and his uncle wants to turn left, so left turn lane onto another major road is stacked up almost the whole length of the parking lot.
Usually one jerk straddling both lanes since he/she can't make up their mind which lane, they are eating, or talking and texting.
I wasn't brought up with this "hooray for me and to hell with you" attitude. Seems like there are more and more of this kind around lately.
Some planner had their head you know where. What if the parking lot needs emergency evacuation fast? Takes forever for authorities to get in gear.
Like, seriously. I like, hate it when like, people can't like, finish a sentence like even once without like, saying "like" like a bazillion times.
Well, you know, I uhm, you know, know exactly, you know, whatchoo, you know, trying to, you know, say. I mean, you know, some people, you know, got the, you know, habit of saying, you know, "you know" too many times! "You know" what mean? N

I can't help but hear every "um" and "like" in people's speech as though those "words" were spoken louder than the rest. They hit my ears like fingernails on a chalkboard. I can forgive one, but when an individual mindlessly repeats meaningless noises in the middle of their "oration", I can see their brain shrinking.
I don't know about valley girls, but dim-wittedness has far from disappeared.
