The stupid windows search indexer creating an 89+gb file on my computer and draining the remaining space on my hard drive.
After spending last night (until like 6 am) on here and looking into Android SDK and app programming, I get up today and come to my computer... big error bubble saying that I have less than 27MBs remaining and my harddrive (It's not big my comp sucks so it's only got 127GB). I had around 90Gigs last time I checked on it and I could NOT figure out wtf just happened. Not even enough space to perform a system restore.
Turns out... the stupid Window Search indexer created a .ci file that was 89.1GBs and I could not delete it... took me like 45 minutes to figure out how to remove it...

My rant is that simple terms on one continent can be read as racial or insensitive on another continent. C'mon, can't we all agree on which seven dirty words we don't want to see.

My rant for the day involves the food service industry.
This evening at 6:00 eastern time i ordered food from a local Cleveland, OH Chinese restaurant.
(less than 3 miles away. I know, i know, 'why didn't i just go pick it up?' Well, because I drove several hours today, I'm sore, and the idea of driving anymore was just unappealing. After all, isn't that what delivery is for?)
I patiently waited until 7:05 before i politely called back to inquire about the order (they had told me 30-45 min MAX) at which point i was informed that it was 'on its way, the driver left 10 minutes ago. It should be there any minute.'
i agreed that was still acceptable, and patiently waited.
At 7:30 i called again to inquire as to where my food was. The woman on the phone said she would call the driver. I politely informed get that if my food didn't arrive in the next ten minutes (the time it would have taken me to drive there to get it myself) that i would no longer be willing to pay. She assured me that it would be there 'any second'.
at 7:47 i called them the final time to tell them to cancel my order as there was no way i was going to eat food that had been sitting in a car for aprox 1hour, (according to the conversation that had gone on between her and i) as I'm in a hotel without a microwave/means of reheating my food now chilled for an hour in the seat of a car.
She SLAMMED the phone down, hanging up on me. So, i decided to go out and get my own food (settled with subway, as i was just hungry and sick of waiting) and as i was pulling back into the parking lot i received a call for them asking why i wasn't there to get my food. I explained, they hung up. I get into my room, they call AGAIN asking the same question... I explain once more... The say 'oh, i see' and end the call... Since then they have called AGAIN. i just sent it to voicemail.
Now mind you, I'm a very patient person. But isn't 2 hours excessive? Especially when one of those hours was spent with my order joy riding around Cleveland?
Long story short... My rant ends with the valuable life lesson to just go pick up my food, no matter the circumstances...

LordV. I'll tell ya what, you waited a lot longer than I would have. If they had said something like, "Oh, we messed up your order and didn't want to give you an incorrect order" I would have understood... or something more serious like "Our driver was in a traffic accident," I'd be all for waiting in that case.... but 2 hours is still 2 hours. 1:30 after you were expecting to eat, and then they call you over and over again.
If they call back I'd tell 'em that the delivery guy must have went to the wrong place

I just subjected my 3 year old surgery to remove 2 chalazions that had formed on her eye after months of trying to remove them with daily warm compresses and cleaning it...
I get the cost from the surgery center for $1165 as my portion after insurance and I ask questions such as: Does this cover the Dr and the anesthesiologist? Why yes, yes it does....
So what do I get in the mail over a month later? A dr bill for an extra $600... with a call to the medical billing department telling me that the surgery center and the dr billing is done separately and that the surgery center shouldn't have told me that it included the doctor's bill...
Effin great.
Now I guess I'll be keeping my eye out for the anesthesiologist bill too... and whatever other bills they'll find to nickel and dime me after the fact.
I swear... why is the medical industry the only one that can get away with sending you extra bills AFTER the fact?
Damned Barnes & Noble. Had a Nook, gave it to daughter. I registered it just to ask a question. Got some spam - used the "unregister my Nook" button. I've had 2 sessions with the chat. Both said they unregistered the Nook. Daughter looks it up to register in her name - damn thing is still registered to me, and B&N can't, won't do anything about it. 2 hours on the phone with the idiots at B&N.
She's in London, but has a US credit card. B&N expects HER to call. She's been getting the runaround since Sept. 2011.
I think B&N is annoyed that anyone should not want their product. I registered for one day, unregistered, fudged email addy to NOT get spam, and never bought books from B&N. There's cheaper places. Won't put the Nook App on the Android, either.
They kept asking why I didn't want the Nook. It doesn't do half of what the Nexus S and Acer A500 do.
people thinking that being bisexual means you're too scared to come out as gay. i do believe there are real people who are bisexual. instead, most people just tell them that they are "confused".
Overcooked eggs and dining establishments will not prepare their cooks so they can prepare my eggs properly! Also, I order sausage patties and they give me links. I am in a hurry and they are slow. I yell at them and they spit in my food.
I am going back to Denny's where the half-way decent food is always half-way decent and they have mastered consistency across the Denny Universe.

I get up for work @ 2pm. My wife, accompanied by our 2 young daughters both less than 2yo, comes upstairs and into our bedroom everyday @ 2:05pm. Today the older girl got up into the computer desk chair, grabbed my gaming headphones and pulls the earmuffs as far apart as she can and crack, split them in half. My wife has the audacity to yell at me for saying that she should have stayed downstairs with the girls because as a 32 year old I can wake up on my own.
Currently duct taping my headphones back together, thankfully they still work.
Someone help, please. I can't delete private messages. I'm using FX ESR, thought it was Google and new policy about browsers, so tried Iron. Neither let me delete. Opens msg on left click, get usual menu stuff about open in new tab, etc. Delete key doesn't work.

i keep telling my students during quizzes (at the risk of sounding like a broken record) that they can use pencil but to use ballpen to finalize their answers. but nooo...someone just had to use pencil x_x

I completely understand where you are coming from there. I don't understand most of the sports out there. The only team sport I pay any attention to normally is hockey. Beyond that, I have no idea what is going on.
