It's never fun to say your last goodbyes. Hold on to your memories of the good times, don't think about the times when he was doing bad, because those ones can just bring you down.

I'm not going to say I know how you feel, like a lot of people so ignorantly say, even if they went through the same exact thing, no one will know what how you feel. Everyone is different, and everyone deals with their emotions differently.

In times like these keep your friends an family close, they can be a real big help you uncloud your mind of your sad thoughts

What gets me is Samsung censors their posts. I realize that it is their right to do so but.......

They asked my opinion on the Samsung Galaxy S Aviator. This being the third Aviator that they have given to me, (the first 2 had some bad voodo) I wrote that one had just quit working in the middle of calls, the 2nd would try and re-activate whenever it was restarted and the third was so slow it took forever to boot up.

Then I included the fact that a friend of mine recommended that I root the phone and remove the bloatware. Along with the fact that I followed his advice and now was very happy with the phone.

They deleted my post and sent me an email stateing that my review was not acceptable and to re-review the phone. Not going to waste my time. If they don't want the truth written about their products then don't ask me too review them.

My opinion (not that it was asked for, but....) on the "LOL" debate.... Both my daughters will speak to me, either in person, on phone (I know, hard to believe...) or on Skype. Both will reply to something funny with the vocal reply "lols"....(pronounced just like it is spelled...)

If I see that you giggled/chuckled/laughed/snorted or even smiled, you DO NOT NEED TO TELL ME "LOLS"!!! I already know!

If you are telling me a story that you found funny, tell me "it made me laugh", not "it made me 'lol'"....". Both have one syllable. One is proper. The other makes you sound foolish, especially to a non-native English speaker, or someone who is not "up" on the text "lingo".

(raises hand) I can be guilty of this. I also eat things like M&Ms in even numbers, and try to take even numbers of bites of things like a sandwich or a banana.

My parents dog got a hold of my sunglasses and now to fix them I will be spending $100. Because they have not disciplined her at all... they just say bad dog when she gets a hold of things she's not supposed to have. No one knows how many hazardous things she has eaten because of it. She evidently doesn't know what bad dog means, I think its because my dad got lazy when he got this dog, his last dog knew rights and wrongs after two months.. And then he gets mad at me for having expensive sunglasses in the first place, because thats the problem... me being able to afford nice things, yea thats the problem not the fact that you can't properly train your dog to not take things its not supposed to have.

I'm more a hater of dust and scratches and creases... But only on certain things....

And I'm especially annoyed by the scratches on the 8 key nd wrist rest on my new keyboard :'( they weren't even my doing.

I always catch complaints since I won't do stuff the way most people do. I've mostly got away with it. (Office was in a house - if it was slow, I'd take the phone and go out and weed the flower beds, etc)

I've had some here since I want to know everything about a device or service before I buy it. I believe in research, not marketing BS. You tell me a product is great, so what? I'll go read all the reviews I can find and make up my own mind.

Default I'm tired of all this talk about routing!

Route, route, route.... That seems to be the topic of the millennium around here. We even have "All Things Route" in almost every phone and tablet forum. Listen up people; If you want to get somewhere just ask someone for directions when your travelling for goodness sake, or use the GPS on your phone or tablet. Honestly how anyone can expect thousands of members to have any idea where you want to go is beyond me. So enough of this routing talk.

Please. When you put the R back in Worcestershire, then MAYBE we'll negotiate with you about your silly pronunciation of aluminum.

Warning - language NSFW (hope you can see this version there)

And here's how to pronounce Route 66 -

Burnistoun, two Scots and a voice recognition elevator. Channel 5 started blocking youtubes of that back home.

Meanwhile, they block half of the UK's shows from being shown here by any means.

That grinds my gears. Let us just watch and share clips, sheesh.

Theres TWO "i"s in it
Not here - only one I. Same with jewelry, only one L.

My English son-in-law said aluminium and my American daughter cracked up.

Isn't Leicestershire pronounced Lester?

One of the funniest stumbles I heard was a Colorado DJ trying to deal with Mamaronek.

lol Burnistoun was funny
I think Lester and Worcester (wooster) are citys or big towns and the county theyre in is called Lestershire/Worcestershire.
I live in Paisley but the area is called Renfrewshire (renfrew is a town next to paisley.. Glasgow airport is in Paisley).. confused? Lol

In short no.

Leicestershire is pronounced Leicestershire and is a county, of which Leicester is the principle city within, pronounced as you say, similar "to Lester" but spelt Leicester.

The same can be said for multiple UK cities, Worcestershire, Worcester, Gloucestershire, Gloucester.

It's hilarious listening to Americans try to pronounce these, as it often sounds as "Wor-ces-ster(-shire) when it should sound more as Wuster is written.

So "American" is what? English ripped off by some big American fruit company and passed off as it's own invention?

Generalize much?

American is simply the preservation of the pronunciation and idioms of the 18th century English.

Sorry we're so old school, it's just our nature. Perhaps one day we'll get the new English out of the trunk of the car, dust it off and try it out.

LoL cheers!

Actually, that arrogant American Noah Webster defined American spelling, intentionally changing the spellings to be different than common British convention.

Just to be different (Americans didn't like the English much back then)...

Go Worcester! The snow capital of eastern Massachusetts.I guess I shouldn't even try to explain how to pronounce Copley as in Copley Square.

Now what I really don't get is how and why folks from New York City pronounce Houston when referring to that street in Manhattan. They Say House-ton. Seriously House-ton? I wonder if they do that when they're talking about the city in Texas?

Us Bostonian would have trouble with that elevator as well. Ah-Leven sounds perfectly natural to me. How else would you pronounce it, EEH-Leven? Who talks like that?
